North American Cooperative Security Act, H.R.2672 and S. 853, seems to be a grand move toward effectively removing our borders with Canada and Mexico. It also forms security teams containing officers from both U. S. and Mexico, together.

Sponsors are Lugar in the Senate (6 co-sponsors, including McCain and Hagel) and Harris in the House (Pearce, NM, and Shays, CT, are co-sponsors).

Ah, so that's why the Mexican Army has free range on our side of the river.

I look forward to Cong. Tom Tancredo opposing this terrible legislation.

Republicans are sponsoring these bills. Considering that "conservatives" supported legislation like NAFTA, GATT and the Patriot Act, it will be interesting to see where they stand on this.

I just hope we can generate effective opposition to it.

And I equally look forward to the usual suspects here on FR to again defend the indefensible like this bill.

Yup, Katherine Harris is the main sponsor in the House. I think it might be a CFR initiated bill.

This bill reads like the CFR document calling for a North American Union, external tariff included. Anybody still brave enough to start the tinfoil comments?

Doesn't hitching your wagon to Mexico with regard to security sound wonderful?
Here's a nation that has no respect whatsoever for our sovereignty, and our leaders want them to help us with our safety.
You couldn't make this stuff up...

I'd suspect a few voices in the wilderness is about it.
Everyone in DC seems hell bent on setting up an American Union.
When this happens, the Latin American countries will help set up rules we live under. Who in their right mind...

Sounds like drug dealers have ben lobbying congress. Either that, or the pinheads haven't heard the screaming over the flood of illegals.

Afraid I'm not much help in the ping-list department. Sorry.
Check out similar topics and you'll find a number of folks with large ping lists. You may even see them here later today.
