North American Cooperative Security Act, H.R.2672 and S. 853, seems to be a grand move toward effectively removing our borders with Canada and Mexico. It also forms security teams containing officers from both U. S. and Mexico, together.

I am aware of all the problems you mention. And they should all be addressed, and we have many reasons to distrust the Mexican leadership with regards to border crossing of mexicans looking for work or running drugs. That does not prevent us from taking the initiative to set up an intelligence defensive layer beyond our own borders to better get a handle on terrorists trying to get into the northern 48.
This 'plan for disaster' as you call it will become another tool or bargaining chip to get mexican help in dealing with the most urgent threat to our nation today.
This is not compromising on US security. Its enhancing it. And I dont see where Mexico will be determining our policy, rather we are enlisting them in that cause. And their motivation comes from the reality that if they can not meet the security requirements placed on them in the treaty, they will face commerce restrictions, in the name of national security, that will hurt them more than it will hurt us.

But when you read the bill, you see that it doesn't place U. S. boots on the ground on Mexico's southern border. Instead, it requires U. S. taxpayers to pay for equipment and other items to be sent to Mexico so they can use them.
However, the Mexican government and the Mexican military are totally and completely corrupt. This bill would allow Mecican officials, using U. S.-supplied equipment and software, to issue standarized biometric-enabled ID to individuals either crossing their southern border, or residing in Mexico, which would then qualify for the fast track when entering the U. S.
In practice, that will not be border security for the U. S.; it will be a profit center for Mecican officials.
Now, with that in mind, read the bill again.

That you ask the question indicates you didn't read the entire post. Why do you trust the Mexican government and military so much?
As I stated, I believe the corruption of the mexican gov is a problem that must be addressed in parallel. But I prsonally do not believe that 'US boots', if you mean the military, should be on the ground on the border. And taxpayers would have to pay for that option as well. I believe the military other more pressing missions to contend with, and that other agencies exist for this purpose.
As for who's paying for it, I browsed the bill and did not see who picks up the tab for equipment used by mexico. I would like to see this as well, but I dont just assume its us yet. Mexico may have to shoulder this if it wants to play in the commerce and trade business with us.

Build a wall. A tall one. Patrol with drones. End catch and release. Punish employers who hire illegals. Start a real time database so employers can tell immediately if a Social Security number is authentic. Deport illegals when we find them. End welfare for illegals. End in-state tuition for illegals.

Yup, I agree with all the points in your middle paragraph. I've had the same Tagline for months now - read it.
I'll add another "suggestion". Defeat this bill.
Well, since there is little or no enforcement of the southern mexican border now, and much of the traffic (people and drugs) that comes here is funneled in there, again it makes sense. And even though your cite still doesn't say we are paying for it, we probably should bear some cost, since we have a vital interest in it.

Strange, that was not my impression. I thought Mexico was zealous about protecting their southern borders . . . if only for the graft and bribe money.
Another huge expansion of government. Is that something conservatives support?
Is securing Mexico's southern border more important then securing our own southern border? Isn't Mexico part of the problem?
How much help has Mexico been to us in securing the border so far? How about the WOT?
Is this something that Americans demanded in the last election? Which candidates ran on this platform?
