OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Sen. Patty Murray said Friday that returning contributions from Indian tribes represented by Jack Abramoff would "taint" the tribes.
The state's senior senator, a Seattle Democrat, said there was nothing wrong with accepting more than $40,000 in campaign donations from out-of-state tribes represented by the disgraced lobbyist.
Abramoff's excesses have been halted and Congress is considering myriad ethics reforms, she said.
The donations, from 1999 to 2005, placed Murray second among Senate Democrats and ninth overall in the Senate, according to records compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington, D.C., organization that tracks money in politics.

Correct. Pubbies receive the cash, it's a culture of corryption, demonRATS get the cash, it's OK, and they don't want to hurt the indian's feelings by giving the money back. You have to admit it's true demonRAT logic.
On another thread I had posted a comment saying I believed Sen. Wyden of Oregon was the dumbest member of the Senate. Hold on, everyone, I'm seriously rethinking that point...
"hmmmm....wonder who's tops on that list??!! The Culture of Hypocrisy continues on the left...."
Er, that would be John Kerry (D-France), who scored at least $98,550.
Remember, Delay got $15,000.

Not only that she said they built day care centers. She's totally clueless.
I sent an email letter to Patty questioning her on supporting Indian tribes which are sovereign nations and especially representing out of state tribes. Of course no response from Tennis shoes Patty. Too busy tiptoeing around.
That's the same thing filthy harry said about his bribes, er, contributions.
LOL! They're all a bunch of fruitcakes up here.
That does seem to be the DUmmy mindset. Take a look at this silly post...

22. False balance. Completely manufactured. It's up to us to email the simple
statement above every time the lie is used.
Tribe money wasn't dirty UNTIL Abramoff used it to bribe his pet Republicans.
Simple - they have no answer back for it.

"Her intellect never ceases to amaze me."
Her intellect matches those of all the King County dead who have voted democrat for generations.
She is a dumb piece of work alright. To paraphrase Ross Perot she's the crazy ant( :-) ) in both Washington's attics.
Auntie's attic antics are so funny that we who live here laugh until we puke. Unfortunately, we can't quite hit her mommy like tennis shoes.
I've tried writing letters to the editor, proving that the information they've printed is only half truths, but they never print them. They do, however, incorporate some of my ideas on other issues.
Double standard again.
She didn't receive the money from Abramoff, so returning it would somehow harm the donor tribes? I get it, just like saying "I didn't have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinsky". Technically correct, but only if you thought she was a humidor!
LOL! By George, I think you've got it!
Having moved to WA state about 4 years ago, I'm learning that liberals here lack common sense and moral convictions.
Liberals lack common sense and morals, simply because they are beyond reproach, perfect in every way. It's true.
And if you believe that one, I have some choice waterfront property in Florida that I'd love to sell to you. I'll show it to you once the tide goes out!!!!
