FINDLAY, Ohio -- The federal government is reaping a $1.1 million windfall from the estate of an Ohio woman. But the money comes with specific instructions.
Margaret Taylor's will said the government has to use her fortune to help pay down the national debt. A spokesman for the Treasury Department said it may be their largest donation ever.
Taylor died in November at age 98. She told her family that she planned to use her money to help people, but didn't reveal her plans.
The executor of her will said he tried to talk Taylor out of giving her money to the government, but she wouldn't listen. Attorney Tom Drake said Taylor was a staunch Democrat who believed the national debt should be paid off.
She`s a certified Idiot .

Ditto
A Democrat doing something to help the country? That's just weird.
Why? It is her money as she could do with it as she pleases.
This was like 0.000000000000001 cent to the government.
Certifiable? You betsha!
Well, at least she put her money where her mouth was. This is way more than could be said about the likes of, say, MA or NY senators.
Poor deluded woman. You cannot help a drunk by giving them another bottle of whiskey....
How long did it take to absorb the whole amount in interest charges, a few seconds?
Were you in her will at one time?
" She`s a certified Idiot ."
That took all of 2 minutes, if that, for the Govt to spend.
$1.1 million is not a "windfall" to the government; it's a very, very small chunk of pocket change.
It would, however, have sent all of her grandkids to college.
A fool and her money ...
From a difference, nanny.
Her business, I suppose. But if she didn't want to give it to her relatives for some reason, there are plenty of worthy charities out there.
I haven't crunched the numbers, but a million dollars thrown into the Treasury will probably slow the growth of the national debt by a fraction of a second.
This qualifies for the "How to piss-away 1 million dollars in the shortest amount of time" award.
Senile people shouldn't be allowed to write wills.
May she rest in peace.
