Condi is NOT a conservative. If Bush ever thought he could sneak Meiers by and then failed miserably, there is no way in hell he could pass the batton to Condi. She'll get dusted in the primaries and I'd glady contribute to that outcome in my state.

He's wrong as often as he's right.

Seriously, he's rarely right. As a prognosticator, my hamster is right more often than he .

The generally accepted spelling does not have a final "E".

Don't be too quick to condemn Morris here. Some of these quotes are from Sharpton's people, and Sharpton, unlike the JJ the Jester, has never been a toady of the Toons. Sharpton played the middle in the NYC Mayoral race in 2002 and forced Bloomberg to dance to his tune. He's nobody's fool.

I am not surprised that Hillary was shocked by Laura's remarks. They came as a bolt out of the blue, and Hillary understands how the White House works at that level: they were planned and approved by the President. Further, Scott McClellan's remarks of yesterday, directly in support of the idea of a Rice candidacy, in the Reuter's story, after Rice's umpteenth denial of any Presidential ambition, have to have given Hillary cause for grave concern.

And Hillary's response? She panics. She is most certainly not her husband.

We Rice folk are extremely happy at this point. Hillary people? Not so.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

If Condi is going to run, she needs a First Dude. Any volunteers?

Well, that solves the problem of what to call the husband of the first woman president. I like it! Don't put it past Hillary to come up with a third party candidate to mess things up. That's how Bill won in '92.

I just can't seem to shake the idea that Morris is still working for the Klintoons.

FWIW:

Open Letter to Hillary

Dick Morris Friday June 13, 2003

Dear Hillary,

In your new book, "Living History," you correctly note that when you asked me to help you and Bill avert defeat in the congressional election of 1994 I was reluctant to do so. But then you assert, incorrectly, that my reluctance stemmed from difficulties in working with your staff. You even misquote me as telling you: "I don't like the way I was treated, Hillary. People were so mean to me."

As you know, I never said anything of the sort. I had, in fact, no experience in dealing with either your staff or the President's at that point, and had not yet met Leon Panetta or George Stephanopoulos. My prior dealing with Harold Ickes had been 25 years earlier.

The real reason I was reluctant was that Bill Clinton had tried to beat me up in May of 1990 as he, you, Gloria Cabe and I were together in the Arkansas governor's mansion.

At the time, Bill was worried that he was falling behind his democratic primary opponent and verbally assaulted me for not giving his campaign the time he felt it deserved. Offended by his harsh tone, I turned and stalked out of the room.

Bill ran after me, tackled me, threw me to the floor of the kitchen in the mansion and cocked his fist back to punch me. You grabbed his arm and, yelling at him to stop and get control of himself, pulled him off me. Then you walked me around the grounds of the mansion in the minutes after, with your arm around me, saying, "He only does that to people he loves."

I continued to work for Bill since I felt a responsibility to do so until election day in 1990. but our relationship was never close and never the same. After the 1990 campaign we parted ways as a direct result of the altercation.

When the story threatened to surface during the 1992 campaign, you told me to "say it never happened."

That, and not the invented conversation in your memoir, was the reason that I was reluctant to work for Bill again.

Yours,

Dick Morris

Last night Big Al showed up on Fox, smoothing over Hill's racist comments. No big deal, she's wonderful, etc.. No mention of her 'Oprah' imitation. Inquiring minds want to know what she's promised Al in return. Oh to be a fly on the wall in Hill's office.

"I just can't seem to shake the idea that Morris is still working for the Klintoons."

I understand that concern. Morris seems more agenda-driven than truth-driven. While Condi is outstanding and part of a high-achievement administration, a pro-choice candidate can't win the base in the GOP.

Besides that, Hillary and any other DNC candidate from DC will have an Abramoff money trail. We need a candidate who is free to really sock it do them. And just in case a rat governor wins the DNC nomination [such as Warner of Virginia], we need someone who isn't vulnerable on the Abramoff matter. I don't think Condi had a blessed thing to do with Abramoff, but it would be better to have someone with greater distance.

"I have a hard time believing a guy that sucks on whores toes."

The difference between Morris and a lot of others is that Morris got caught. Remember all the outed GOP members when Clinton was impeached? And that was before there was much viagra available! Seems that most men are easilly lured into adultery, if they're given much of a chance [sad to say].

Dick Morris thinks he's doing what's best, IMHO. He's a brilliant, international political adviser. And he points things out what few others consider. For example, "The Browning of America", and it's affect on the vote.

I just don't happen to agree with him. He doesn't understand the GOP, because it takes more than brains to understand this wonderful party, which I'm beginning to love more every year, warts and all, not because of the leaders, but because of the man on the street with a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker, the lady with a proud eagle tee-shirt, and the kid waving a flag at the parade.
