What a cutie! My sister-in-law has two Papillons - one is white with black, and one is white with the tan/black markings.
They're cute little dogs and hair is so silky - the ears are amazing. :)

They are also commonly refered to as the Butterfly dog.
Here is why...
The ears look like the wings of a butterfly.
That is what Pookie will look like when she is an adult.

She is adorable and quite mischievous.LOL.
We really didn't want a dog at this time ,but my MIL gave her to us as a gift and she stole our hearts the day she arrived.
She makes me laugh and helps me to relax,even our cat is taking to her,but only if he is approaching her.LOL.
If she gets to close to him he'll his and she knows she has gotten to close to him and backs off.
It's quite comical the way he approaches her though.He pretends he didn't see her and then goes up to her and gives her a quick lick or sniff and then looks to see if any of us noticed.LOL.If he sees us looking he'll back away and give out a hiss to let us know that he is the boss.

Not sure you saw the Finnegan "Squirrel Tails" thread. The mama dog that adopted Finnegan was a Papillion. I knew I recalled that name from somewhere!
