Prayers needed, please (Vanity)

We've sold our house and little farm and got the price we asked, the only problem is the closing is on the 24th of this month, and we haven't found another place yet.

The wife signed a contract to buy our place on New Year's Eve, but the husband dilly-dallied for another week and we weren't sure the sale would go through...he finally signed and fedexed the papers last Tuesday. We've been frantically packing and househunting (about 75 miles away from here) ever since, plus I've been working part time.

We have a bid on a house that we really want, in a town near our daughter and son-in-law, but we don't know if it will be accepted...the bid is fair, but the sellers may not like it...we have another house we are interested in, but the people can't close in time for us to move in...

We've been in this place for 20 years, it's hard packing to leave, and we'll have to board our dogs with our vet until we have a home...and our daughter is about to deliver, any day now, their 3rd baby, a little boy named Jacob; she had a high blood pressure episode a week ago, and went on maternity leave and bedrest...

Plus I have RA and for some reason, most likely stress, I'm having a flareup and cannot sleep.

Our son and his wife came down this past weekend to help us pack, and will come again next weekend...

I'm physically and emotionally stressed to the max, and I need to have a good cry so I can get that over with and get on with my life--but don't want to wake Hub, he's exhausted and he's my dearest. He wanted to stay up until I could go to sleep, but I told him I was fine...

I need prayers. I'm FReeping, and then walking around the house looking at memories, then FReeping. Silly, right? Click on my screen name to see me and the pups...and please send a prayer my way. As you can see, I'm NOT a spring chicken. ;-D

Well, that next house is one for you to live in.
So, close your eyes now and look forward to
tomorrow.

Every day is a gift from God.

Having a nurse convention.

Are the buying couple on a strict moving schedule..

When we bought, The sellers were building..Their house didn't get finished on time.

We agreed to let them stay another 2 weeks for them making the first house payment for us.

Thank you Cindy, and everyone who has posted a prayer for us tonight...this is just overwhelming at the moment. Tomorrow I'll be my usual self, I should have asked for prayers a week ago!

I'm still kind of teary, but much less stressed.

Gee whiz, FReeper prayers are wonderful, I am not kidding...

Hi Judith Ann, moving is one of the top ten stressors, so don't beat yourself up for being nervous & anxious.

I have a friend who moves about every two years, that would do me in, I'm like you, I'd be stressed to the max.

Just know, this will work out and you'll survive it, probably end up closer to your daughter & new grandchild. Good luck.

One of the great things about FR is all the nurses here...

I didn't know that, but I kind of figured it was true at least for me...;-D

I always hated paperwork, as a nurse, and there is so much stuff to sign--and there is no way I've read everything, although I tried to...dang, I hope I haven't missed anything important...

Judith Anne,

Prayers for you and your family! At the risk of sounding trite, it's always darkest before the dawn. You will look back on this as something very difficult that you made it through, and you will be stronger for it. Each one of these awful experiences gives us a different perspective on life and helps weed out the insignificant things that can overtake us if we aren't careful. This move will indeed be stressful and push your endurance to it's end, but you'll come out on the other side of it even better than before.

I used to have a condition which flared similar to RA, and I know what you're going through, it's adding greatly to the stress level, which makes it flare even worse, a revolving door. Take care of yourself first, then the business end of things.

Thanks, thanks, and more thanks to everyone...I'm heading off to sleep now, I had my laughs and my good cry, and now I can rest.

Tomorrow is another day. One day at a time, we'll get through this.

Just...thanks. FReepers are wonderful epople (my favorite typo from FR, it always makes me laugh).

Not at all. I will certainly keep your family in my prayers during this stressful time for you.

Remember...don't tell God how big your storm is....tell that storm how big your God is. ;-)

Good grief! What a trivial thing to pray for. Put your furnishings in storage and go cough up the rent on an apartment for a month. Problem solved.
