Mayor Ray Nagin suggested that recent destruction from hurricanes Katrina, Rita and other natural disasters is a sign that "God is mad at America," and also mad at black communities for tearing themselves apart with violence and divisive politics. If you don't follow your own evacuation plan and therebey leave tens of thousands of people stranded in a storm surge zone.......blame God.

FWIW, I don't think God really likes to be blamed for natural disasters. I mean, he DID give us Free Will when he booted us out of Paradise due to our own mortal failings. That would include Free Will as to where to set up housekeeping, I'd assume? If you want to live at or below sea level, well, tough horse apples. ;)

Nagin is just a good ole boy and this is how good ole boys talk and act. The difference is white good ole boys can't talk this way anymore: "This City will be white! God wants it that way! You white people got punished because you didn't follow God's rules. I need all you white people to vote for me, we will keep this city white!" Racism is racism is racism no matter what color.

Ray Nagin needs psychiatric intervention and spiritual help and right quick. God's wrath is applied just like God tells us it is and will be and it's no surprise that even about this, Ray Nagin gets it all wrong. He's certainly a misguided individual.
