This issue also has, for suscribers only, and article concerning locust family trees. They sometimes live solitary lives and they sometimes swarm. The swarming is accompanied by a color change. Interesting.

Whatever these Stone Age folk were doing, the largest of them achieved a running speed of perhaps
12 miles per hour, comparable to that of a fit recreational runner today,Hmmm.....a marathon is 26 miles...at 12 miles/hour....or 5 minutes a mile
A 2:10 marathon (approximately & rounded)
Pretty good for a "recreational runner today"!
Methinks they need another working hypo here.

The article is about "Stone Age Man" - that's you.

Stone age kangaroos seem to be every bit as advanced as modern kangaroos.

Are these on the way to the ark?If not, they're in big trouble. The truly shocking thing is to find human and kangaroo footprints at the same time! Evolution is in big trouble!

Who said they ran a marathon? Don't you think these ancient people were in pretty good physical shape? They probably used running as a major part of their hunting.
To: PatrickHenry
Yeh, I forgot about the kangasaurus.

Stone age kangaroos seem to be every bit as advanced as modern kangaroos. But, before they passed the law of gravity, they floated around freely and didn't have to waste so much energy hopping.

Hey C-man, what do you think professionally of the dating method they used? I am totally unfamiliar with that method. I would love to hear more about it.

I love this stuff - finding evidence that this rock has been infested by things long ago.
maybe you could ping some of the usual suspects. Things seem slow lately.
To: Coyoteman
Aw, C-man. What good is having an "expert" if you can't ping him?

So, Fred and Wilma, and Barney and Betty, and Pebbles and Bam-Bam, and Dino were walking across the mud flats (and dragging a stick). Their Flintmobile must have blown a head gasket....
