Within hours of his release, Justice Minister Cemil Cicek ordered a review of Agca's case, and later told a Turkish newspaper that Agca may be returned to his cell to serve at least 11 more months for killing IpekciWell I'm sure that made him want to check in with the authorities. sheesh.

I guess we'll hear about him on his next assasination or suicide bombing attempt.

Forgiveness does not imply that the person should not have to accept the consequences of his actions.
What shows that he does not accept consequences is his failure to be accountable to the courts.
Besides, isn't it about here that someone posts: It's Bush's Fault!

Last week, on a thread about the upcoming release, I was "fabbergastic" at the number of FReepers who agreed he should be back on the streets, since Il Papa had done the foregiveness thing. Anyone who believed release should be based on victims' forgiveness needs to remember that the purpose of detainment is not merely for victims' revenge. The true reason for his release is the fact that he'd served his time, and since he didn't show, perhaps the sentence wasn't long enough.
