Three Accused of Ecoterror Attacks Plot [Earth Liberation Front]

(01-13) 17:55 PST Auburn, Calif. (AP) -- Three people were arrested Friday on suspicion that they plotted to blow up U.S. Forest Service property along with cell phone towers and power generators, the FBI said.

Zachary O. Jenson, 20, of Monroe, Wash., Lauren Weiner, 20, of Philadelphia, and Eric Taylor McDavid, 28, of Foresthill, Calif., were arrested Friday morning, said Karen Ernst of the FBI.

Federal authorities believe all three are members of the Earth Liberation Front, a shadowy collection of environmental activists that has claimed responsibility for dozens of acts of destruction in the past few years.

Matt Mathes, spokesman for the U.S. Forest Service, said he couldn't comment on the investigation, at the FBI's request. The FBI said there was no threat to the public. The three were being held in jail pending arraignment in federal court on Monday. Ernst said she did not believe they had attorneys.

The reason they didn't tell you is because it was two of THEIR ideologue mates under scrutiny and they don't want anyone to know what they're doing behind the scenes to get them released....they'd rather keep you worried about your pension plan that GW screw up with his war....

Glad to hear they're in custody, as usual, I hope they get some 'friendly' cellmates. I can imagine that eco freaks rank up there with child molesters in prison.

When I was home at Christmas, I recall hearing one of Kerry's former advisors complaining that the WH was wiretapping PeTA and Greenpeace members (illegally). I thought that was GREAT news!

GREAT post, Fresh Wind. I had not seen that article, although I knew about PETA's support of arsonists like Coronado and the Congressional hearings concerning these domestic terrorists.

PETA has infiltrated the school systems for years, recruiting future members unaware of what they really stand for. I was on the PETA site the other night and signed up for PETA2 project, a special project aimed at youths. I have, for years, signed up for their programs so they'll send me stuff, therefore costing them extra mailing costs, etc.

You won't hear about their terrorist activities on their web site, but it is well documented what their real mission is -- and I if were a parent I'd be UPSET when schoolsystems allow them to distribute PETA's propaganda.
