The Friday Night Flyby is being posted from work tonight. Sorry i don't have my list of the ususal suspects with me so My apologies to those who I did not ping.
DANG CRS Tonight we have the Convair B-58 Hustler, as a kid in ST. Louis in the late 60's they were flying B-58s over the city doing sonic boom testing as I recall. Never got to see one in person but I did get some nice pics this week.
Have to run back to work, may or may not be back later. Y'all have a great weekend and keep smilin, folks will wonder what you are up to :-)
Regards

As I recall the B-58's life span wasn't very long because it could carry only nuke weapons and could not carry conventional bombs or wing-mounted weaponry.
Thanks for the pics. :-)

Dang, the B-58 is a great looking aircraft. Everything about it was advanced even the silly 20mm tail gun mounting. I never got to see one in person either, but I remember the booms! As I recall it was the 2nd Tue of the month in the afternoon but I could be wrong. I remember,as a kid also, "stopping the game" to wait for the boom. Same time , every time, within minutes.
Thanks for the great pics! And hello to every body else on the Canteen tonight! tonight

The very first model plane I built was one of these. I also have a picture I took of one at the Pima Air Museum in Tucson.
