Jan. 13, 2006 Today, according to Pakistani military sources, U.S. aircraft attacked a compound known to be frequented by high level al Qaeda operatives. Pakistani officials tell ABC News that al Qaeda leader Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant, may have been among them.
U.S. intelligence for the last few days indicated that Zawahiri might be in the location or about to arrive, although there is still no confirmation from U.S. officials that he was among the victims.

I suspect this Predator you show, w/ten missles attached, has the technological capability to acquire multiple targets, which may explain some of what the "plane" was reportedly doing while "circling" the site. When targets were all acqired and locked into the computer - - - here come all those Hell Fires - - - BOOM! Asta La Vista terrorist(s)
Housekeeping, clean up on aisle five!
Did he really say that? Who was his sources? If this is true then it is likely that we got this evil SOB because they may have done some preliminary identification for at least the "physical looks of Zawahiri" and it may have been "probable enough" that it is him so they are now sending the tissues or bodies to DC for DNA confirmation.
Is he dead yet? Is he dead yet? Is he dead yet?....
with the video from these predators, they must have seen who they were taking the shot at before firing.
;-)
Update!! Zawairi MAY have been killed!
not sure. they must have moved satellites into position also, but I am sure these guys are smart enough now to know never to look up.
If this is so, there have to be brave "friendly" forces in the area doing retrieval.
Nonsense. Assuming it was him, may God send his ass straight to the hottest part of Hell, wrapped in pigskin.
This is an undated handout picture of Ayman al-Zawahri, said to be the right hand man of al-Qaida terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. A pre-dawn airstrike killed at least 17 people in a remote Pakistani tribal area Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, and U.S. networks said American jets were targeting a suspected al-Qaida hideout that may have been frequented by high-level operatives, possibly the terror group's No. 2 leader Ayman al-Zawahri. There was no confirmation from either the Pakistani or U.S. government. (AP Photo/File)

Whenever the Judiciary Committee reports out the Alito nomination, the full Senate will begin work on the nominee the next business day.
If Democrats delay final action past January 20th, he will cancel the recess for the week of January 23rd which he had previously scheduled with the knowledge of Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV).
Until the Senate votes, up or down, on the Alito nomination, he will not act on any other legislative item.
IT WAS GODS WRATH STRIKING DOWN ON THE EVIL AND DECADENT... PRAISE THE METHODIST AND SOUTHERN BAPTIST.
Coop - My dream has been to see both Osama and Zawahiri dragged through the streets of NYC in chains. But I'll take a DOA.
Yeah, I think I want Zarqawi more than the rest of them.

"ABC news says he was a victim."
Anything that's GOOD for America, such as the deaths/capture/torture of these demented mass serial killer islamofazzies, is BAD for libnuts. ABC news is simply hoping against hope that he's still alive so that they can go on bashing Bush and America and the troops.
Let's hope Frist sticks with his statement for a change...
I hope the GOP Congresscritters have been taking notice of the "new and improved" George Bush...being assertive and not defensive...
THEY need to start the new session..by marking their territory.
Anwarullah must be buddies with Teddy and Nancy P.

Sources said that four planes came about 50 kilometres inside Pakistani air-space and targeted mud houses in Berkandi area of Damadola, largely inhabited by the Mamond tribe.
Sources said that the Mamond sub-division is considered a stronghold of the banned Tehrik Nifaz-i-Shariat-i-Mohammadi led by Maulana Sufi Mohammad. Maulana Sufi has been in Dera Ismail Khan jail since the fall of the Taliban government.
An eyewitness said that he saw four aircraft flying over Mamond sub-division of the Bajaur Agency at about 3am, which disappeared in the western sky limits without making any attack.
He said the planes again appeared over the tribal area and bombed some targets in the Barkandi locality of Damadola.
I saw four aircraft entering the area from Kunar province, which hovered over the area for half an hour, said Mohammad Rafiq, a resident of the area................."
