EXCLUSIVE: Pakistani Military Sources Say Zawahiri May Be Dead

Jan. 13, 2006 — Today, according to Pakistani military sources, U.S. aircraft attacked a compound known to be frequented by high level al Qaeda operatives. Pakistani officials tell ABC News that al Qaeda leader Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant, may have been among them.

U.S. intelligence for the last few days indicated that Zawahiri might be in the location or about to arrive, although there is still no confirmation from U.S. officials that he was among the victims.

WMAL news (local radio in DC): Witnesses said that the compound was "heavily guarded". Locals knew that Al Qaeda was there. They saw the place hit with missiles.

I have gotten the impression that the Pentagon and White House have been MORE interested in getting Zawahiri, because he is the "mastermind"...where Bin Ladin was the "name"...

and, since Bin Ladin hasn't been seen/heard from since before the election last year...Zawahiri could have been the main man...

IF this is a true story...it HAS to have a negative effect on Al-Zarqawi...but, what about Iran?

The sources said five of those killed in Friday's raid were "high level al-Qaida figures" whose bodies are undergoing forensic tests for identification, ABC reported.

They said Osama bin Ladin's deputy, who has been known to stay at houses in the village, may have been one of the victims.

So if true we sorted thru the bodies,,,,,and selected the best ones.....YeaHoo!!
