Jan. 13, 2006 Today, according to Pakistani military sources, U.S. aircraft attacked a compound known to be frequented by high level al Qaeda operatives. Pakistani officials tell ABC News that al Qaeda leader Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant, may have been among them.
U.S. intelligence for the last few days indicated that Zawahiri might be in the location or about to arrive, although there is still no confirmation from U.S. officials that he was among the victims.

Exactly, though I don't want to sound cold and caullous, I still want to see a body and have a positive identification.

You'll excuse me if I'm a little skeptical, since this is about the tenth time this guy has "died." Is anyone else sick of posts like this?

Yes. It seemed very effective when we got those two sons of Saddam. Video evidence makes quite an impression.

I think this is the first time this guy has died. It's Zack in Iraq who keeps coming back.

As a point of comparison, we defeated Hitler in about 3 1/2 years. After WWII the best we could say is that Hitler *may* be dead. It was not confirmed for about 50 years.

Is anyone else sick of posts like this? How many times are you going to ask?

He has very deep connections in Africa and has been sending terror cells there for some time. His links with the Algerians have been especailly strong.
We are spending half a billion dollars just to train African troops to hunt down the men Zarqawi is sending to Africa. He is trying to seed it with his followers as an excape valve from Iraq according to at least two US generals in interviews.
