Music Incoming!
Bottom of my boots sure are gettin' worn
there's a lot of holes in this faded uniform
My hands are black with dirt and so is my face
I aint never been to hell
but it couldn't be any worse than this place.
Tell my wife don't worry 'cause I know what to do
it makes you feel better sometimes, but don't know if it's true.
I know if I die it's just my time to go
but I pray to God every day that I may get back home.
Well when you've seen what I've seen
things don't seem so bad
quit worrying 'bout what you aint got, thank God for what you have
'Cause I could be raising my family in this place
but I was born an American
by Gods Amazing Grace.
For the last twelve months I've had a new address
the neighborhood smells like sewerage and the streets are lined with trash.
You never know what's gonna be the next thing to explode
but unlike these people, I have another home.
It breaks my heart to see these kids out on the streets
walking barefoot through the trash, diggin' for something to eat.
I give them what I got, just to let them know I care
and I thank God it's not my son that's standing there.
Well when you've seen what I've seen
things don't seem so bad
quit worrying 'bout what you aint got, thank God for what you have
'Cause I could be raising my family in this place
but I was born an American
by Gods Amazing Grace.
You want to talk about it, you better keep it short
cause I got a lot of lost time I gotta make up for.
Really don't care why Bush went in to Iraq
I know what I done there and I'm damn sure proud of that.
You got somethin' bad to say about the USA
you better save it for different ears 'less you want to crawl away.
And I laugh in your face when you say you've got it bad
until you've spent some time on the streets of Baghdad
Well when you've seen what I've seen
things don't seem so bad
quit worrying 'bout what you aint got, thank God for what you have
'Cause you could be raising your family in this place
but you were born in America, By God's Amazing Grace!!!!

Thank you, Star!
Thanks for the news on the "passable weather" for January.
I can't imagine you having words with the pinkos! ROTFL
Bump.
Honorable mention to Mr. Sparling for confronting the pinkos who plague the place where our heroes heal.
Earliest reports of last night are good!
Thank you, D.C. FReepers!
LOL! They all just walked in the door and showed it to mine. Got a BIG GRIN!
BTTT
LOL!!!!
bump
Keep up the good work. I'm too far away or I'd join you in a minute even in the cold.
LOL
Too funny!!! More please.
bttt
bump!
You mean that some are less-deranged. :)
Thanks for the praise.
Please FReepmail me again with suggestions for the best cameras for long distance night telephoto shots and also I want little or no lag time. My camera takes seconds between when I push the button and when the shot takes, except for the very first shot when the camera has just charged up the flash. Then 5 to 6 seconds between each following shot. I want a camera that can take 3-5 shots a second, even via flash.
This part can be answered on the public board: Will Halliburton pay half the cost of a new camera or will they pick up 90 percent due to my status with Halliburton special ops data mining and GITMO liberal relocation planning?
I appreciate your praise and you make some very good points about the videocameras being in full view. Do they qualify for the Stupid Criminals show or whatever it's called?
One note. The guy to the right of McCarron is not a Pinko. He was just a pedestrian, who happened to stop there and look across the street at the FReepers. The Pinkos have rarely, if ever, had any African-Americans or other "persons of color" (as they would say) line up with them.
Thanks for the kind words or the bumps.
If you're ever in the DC area, we would be happy to have you look us up and, if circumstances permit, join us for a FReep, especially at Walter Reed. If not possible to FReep with you, maybe join us for a beer.
I was away from the computer and could not reply before the Friday FReep.
I did NOT think that Murtha would show. Indeed, he did not show.
