Day 4: Hearing Resumes
This morning, Senators will question Judge Alito during a third round. They will then go into a closed session, to review the FBI background investigation on the Supreme Court nominee. Outside witnesses may be called to testify this afternoon, as well as the American Bar Association, to discuss its recommendations.

"I predict that after Alito is confirmed by the Senate, you will hear lots of talk on the left to get rid of him as the ranking member.."
You may be right.
I shudder to think that Al Gore or John Kerry would have made these two nominations to the highest court.
Can you imagine how it would have been to see the Supreme Court go even more leftward for at least 30 years?
