Because they wrongly think that we are stupid that we would be upset and shocked over it. Democrats don't think that the masses can think and read and decide what is acceptable and what is not. Nanny State.

Alito: Legal framework that Congress has created has given us a limited role in looking at factual findings.

LOLOL!

Unfortunately, Judge Alito has not had as much time as he should to address serious legal issues because some Democrats, such as Sen. Joe Biden, have been more interested in hearing themselves than hearing Alito.

Excellent find. Thanks!

The 'Rat pack showboats their nasty tactics because they know their constituents are otherwise too stupid to recognize their allegiance.

Do you notice how incensed they seem to be about the fact that almost all of his colleagues-on a generally liberal court-are willing to testify on his behalf?

They aren't in the driver's seat. Alito is an outstanding judge, absolutely outstanding. And he has earned the genuine respect of his peers and his support staff. The DEMs are accustomed to being able to steamroller over weak defense, and are not equipped to handle a fair fight.

Do you think it has anything to do with the fact that their own witnesses-even excluding that eco-freak who's related to Isaac Bashevis Singer, and has been told to stand down-are so pathetic by comparison?

Partly. But mostly that they have nothing, no ammunition, no argument. The facts and truth are visible, and the DEMs are not used to that.

I said yesterday that a good part of the fight the GOP is putting up in these hearings is simple intellectual honesty, fighting lies with facts, fighting disconnect with logic. I hope that style has a long and robust life. I hope the unfolding of the Alito hearings emboldens the GOP and weakens the DEMs in ways that extend far beyond the hearings themselves.

You have good justification for dumping this whole thing.

Schumer wants the occasion to reflect "what Democrats stand for." That's what's important to him. He could care less about having qualified people serving on the Supreme Court. If he cared he would ask questions that were pertinent instead of impertinent.

LOL! There's a new business in there somewhere. A refrigerator that calls the supermarket and places an order to be delivered and "installed" in your fridge.

Indeed--druggies swallow condoms full of heroin, or cocaine, or whatever, and could have 'planted' that stuff IN or ON that little girl--WHO SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN IN A DRUG HOUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE, but I guess that's irrelevant. Better to let her die from a drug overdose or set her free full of drugs to spread out on the street to cause more deaths, according to the libs. That's just stupid. Having a female cop check the child was the right thing to do.
