Review of Rusher CAP Records (No mention of Alito)
National Review Online ^ | 1/11/06 | Ed Whelan

Posted on 01/11/2006 7:15:37 PM PST by frankjr

I have been informed by a very reliable source that Senate Judiciary Committee staffers have reviewed the entirety of William Rusher's CAP documents at the Library of Congress and have determined that those documents make no mention at all of Alito.

This should be no surprise, as New York Times reporter David Kirkpatrick reviewed the same documents in late November 2005 and made the same determination.

I can't wait to see how Teddy spins this tomorrow. I doubt he'll say: "You know that big fuss I made yesterday about those Rusher CAP records? Nevermind."

No, he'll probably accuse Alito of lying on the previous job application, and insist he is lying now.

Hopefully this will make Kennedy and Biden leave the hearing room in tears.

"Hopefully this will make Kennedy and Biden leave the hearing room in tears."

Payback for their treatment of Mrs. Alito.

I bet Kennedy comes in tomorrow with three chins to the wind.

Karl Rove might have edited Sam's resume that was on file.

Hmm. I noticed on an earlier thread that the NY Times's recap of the Alito hearing didn't even mention the Princeton issue, although Teddy made such a big issue of it. Yet another sign that they know perfectly well that it's bogus.

So it's not just that the guy mentioned on Drudge who was going to testify wrote an article about Animal Holocausts. Evidently he also lied.

Somebody should get this information to Specter. If he thiknks Kennedy tried to embarass him on TV over some paperwork that Democrat staffers had already gone through, I think there will be hell to pay.

Specter may be a RINO but he is damned egotistic and prideful of the perks of the chairman. He wouldn't let this pass.

Another Freeper described this as: 15 years on the bench with 4000 decisions but the Dems focus on an article someone else wrote in a magazine Alito subscribed to 30+ years ago.

The Dems are doing so badly I'm betting on the lauch tube falling over and launching a shell back into the Dems pile of fireworks.

I'm betting that Kennedy will quote from the papers to associate Alito with its anti-Liberal thought (especially if there's anything that is anti-Affirmative Action). Tomorrow will undoubtedly be uglier than today.

I heard Alito once had too many items for the grocery store express lane...but stood in the line anyway.

Some beach...now what's the swimmer going to whine about?

Incidently, Mary Jo Kopechne was not available for comment.

Rush Limbaugh said that the papers were posted on Kennedys website and that the NY Slimes said that in their Nov 27th article about them.
