Alito Wife leaves Hearing in Tears
Drudge Report ^ | 01/11/2006 | Matt Drudge

Posted on 01/11/2006 2:37:13 PM PST by MeanWestTexan

Judge Samuel A. Alito’s wife Martha left the confirmation hearing room in tears this evening, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) apologized to the Judge’s family for the behavior of his fellow committee members during the course of the last three days.

Sen. Graham said: “Judge Alito, I am sorry that you’ve had to go through this. I am sorry that your family has had to sit here and listen to this.”

Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have attacked Judge Samuel A. Alito over his membership in Concerned Alumni of Princeton and his involvement in the Vanguard case.

One senior Republican in the hearing room said of the situation: “After three full days of attacks against her husband’s character, Mrs. Alito had enough. Democrat behavior during this hearing has not only been wrong, it’s been embarrassing. Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully.”

When the DEMS blast a man, who can quote the laws by memory, it only shows that Senators themselves need to face confirmation hearings- not a vote

Wolf Blitzer just mentioned it and asked Biden for his response. Biden said there has to be another way to conduct these type of hearings, but then actually questioned why Alito would list such a group as being proud to belong. Blitzer then asked Biden why he went on so long (actually gave Biden a word count: Biden 30000+, Alito 1000+...or some outlandish number). Biden mischaracterized his 30 minutes by saying he went on too long in trying to support Alito's various stances, etc.

Dems and especially Kennedy have once again put on a disgusting display of partisan politics at it's worst. They do not care one wit about the Constitution, homeland security, nor what is best for the American people on any issue. Shame on them and anyone who votes for them.

"the Dims look like bullies..."

They are bullies. They actually looked more gentile than they are in real life.

NO, I saw it, she was reacting to Graham who was apologizing to her husband, Graham even teared up. She was touched that Graham was being kind.

Don't let the MSM report it this way!
