What has he done?

I graduated from a Catholic all male high school. Thankfully, I went four years without that dick impact.

Sigh, but the kids in the pageant at the 4pm Mass are the cutest.
My sister lives in India. She became Protestant many years ago and fell out of the practice to go to church. She went to a midnight mass far away with her oldest daughter and she wrote that there were thousands and thousands who went to this Mass.
Also curious that India has school Christmas vacation and the kids have a Secret Santa exchange.
Go figure.

I think the insistence on INDEPENDENCE needs to be shouted loudly by every Republican--because it just really dawned on me how greatly this whole confirmation process is infringing on the independence of the judiciary. Biden and Schumer and Feinstein all insist that if a judge opposes abortion--or takes any kind of stand on issues which is in conflict with their views--they are not qualified to be candidates for the Supreme Court. That severly damages the independent status of SCOTUS!!
If a person's RELIGIOUS beliefs would incline them to be against abortion,Dems would be call them right wing ideologues and they would not have a chance of being confirmed. To me--that is discrimination on the basis of religion--denying someone a Federal job!
So not only are the Dems guilty of undermining the independent status of the courts--they are guilty of religious discrimination!

"I think that after this confirmation, congress should address the issue..no more "if/then" retirements." I agree with you. I think that the announcement of a retirement should be more clear than that, and it's bothered me that O'Connor qualified hers.

Have you ever watched him on CSPAN? He rants incoherently about President Bush and the war. I've never heard him say anything remotely intelligent.
