"durbin is already beginning a sheen of sweat from his hairline down" And Brian Wilson said this morning that it was so cold in that room that it felt like a meat locker.

he's beating the dead horse, again. So are the posters on this thread going on about Miers. I wish they would take that pointless topic to WEBEATADEADHORSE.com.

Is Durbin trying to tie Alito to the coal mining accident in WV ??

Alito is pretty level headed. No change in emotion. I would have hit the abuse button and asked the mods to ban Durbin by now.

Is Durbin trying to tie Alito to the coal mining accident in WV ??Of course. We saw this coming several days ago, right after the mine accident. This becomes more and more ridiculous.

I didn't want to flesh out the argument about the relative superiority of SCOTUS decisions and the Constitution. You are discussing tactics for the hearings, and as I said, Alito's answer will give (temporary) heartburn to some traditionalists (those who hold that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land, as compared with those who hold SCOTUS as the supreme law of the land).
If it makes you happy, I'll concede that you are absolutely correct, and there is no need for futher talk pn the matter.

he's telling him how to do his job. "You ruled narrowly"
That's what judges do, jerk..
To: Lizarde
Alito just gave Durbin a lesson in Civil vs Criminal court regarding the "mentally retarded" case. That really made Durbin look like a fool.
