ALITO CONFIRMATION HEARINGS
Questioning Begins Today
Each of the eighteen senators on the Judiciary Cmte. will have 30 minutes to question Supreme Court nominee Samual Alito today during round one. Sen. Arlen Specter, as chairman, will begin, then they will alternate by party in order of individual seniority. Round two starts on Wednesday.
yeah, lucky me.
What a fat, drunken blowhard Kennedy is! He'll make a complete fool of himself AGAIN.
My dad had a friend named Ernie Lorch, who was in law school with Ted at UVA. Ernie was semi-famous for coaching youth basketball in NYC. Ernie told my dad that Teddy was notorious for copying off of his and others' test papers in law school.
Wow. Does booze fat really go to your ears if you drink as much as he does?
Probably won't last too long, it is getting close to his noon cocktail time.
Thats because the DUers wouldn't know proper legal procedure if it bit them in the butt. Most of them think watching Law and Order makes them legal experts.
LOL! Photo of the day!
What was the point Kennedy was trying to make? I am lost. Alito never was given the chance to give a complete answer.
why can't this moron drop the question that has already been answered?
Now he's bring up a "fair shake" again. Is he talking about the shakes he gets after a long bender on the cape?
Teddy should ask Sam if while he was at Princeton did he ever hire someone to take a test in his place.
The whole 'vangard' thing was blown out of the water once Hatch pre-epted FAT teddy and let Alito explain the case factually.. rather than taking an angle and cherrypicking talking points like FAT teddy and the others are doing.
What does Alito wife's face say? She is probably disgusted!!
This pig is a laughing stock who doesn't know it!
Did you notice how crooked Teddy's glasses were yesterday? I couldn't believe that he was sitting there with glasses that looked like he had sat on them.
They are saying that Judge Alito is perjuring himself left & right.
Kennedy must think Americans are so stupid they dont know the difference between owning a share of IBM or a share of a Vanguard Mutual Fund.
The Swimmer knows a lot about water torture...
Kennedy is making the narrow point(less) that Alito made a promise during hearings to recuse from Vanguard cases. I bet the promise included at least the unstated assumption that recusal would occur if there was a conflict or appearance of one.
ABA is making the point that recusal was not required, IOW, the "promise" that Teddy is bleating about is not "relevant" to the question of judicial ethics.
He sticks with what he knows.
Fat, drunk, and stupid may be no way to go through life but it will keep you in the US Senate for decades.
