Each of the eighteen senators on the Judiciary Cmte. will have 30 minutes to question Supreme Court nominee Samual Alito today during round one. Sen. Arlen Specter, as chairman, will begin, then they will alternate by party in order of individual seniority. Round two starts on Wednesday.

Alito is fine...... there is no story. He's smart but somewhat of a stiff (except for THE PINK FLAMINGOES.) It is a general bore today.

The lady judge who inspired the pink flamingos is a witness on Thursday, she's also Donald Trump's sister. That could be interesting.

The Hallways of Justice. This district court diva, who harbors delusions of grandeur, placed large stonework lions on either side of the door to her chambers. Her neighbor down the hall, an appeals court judge, found the lions absolutely ridiculous (and ugly to boot). Shortly thereafter, he placed two hideous, plastic pink flamingos flanking the entrance to his own chambers.

The district court diva took the hint. She removed her leonine decorations sua sponte, without waiting for the mandate to issue from the appellate court…

Who was the appeals court judge in this humorous tale? Why, it was none other than Judge Samuel Alito!

Just checking in to mark the thread, and note that Rush's last point was that the media is PO'd because the story they wanted isn't happening was dead on. The 2:00 news break on my radio station made NO mention about the Alito hearing. Mr. Blackwell calling Ashely Olsen's outfits "dumpster chic" was the big story, other than a hostage situation in Orlando.

Who strip searches a 10 year old girl?

Someone who wants to make damn sure that child does not ingest dangerous drugs and is injured. My view is that the child HAD to be searched to protect the child from danger.
