So, can somebody tell me why Roe vs. Wade is so important to Senator Kennedy and others?

If Roe vs Wade is law can you tell me when the lawmakers, the legislature, enacted this law? It seems more like lack of law. Beware elderly, disabled, they'll be coming after you next.

So, can somebody tell me why Roe vs. Wade is so important to Senator KennedyBecause there are already enough members of the misbegotten Kennedy clan most accurately described as "bastards," as is...? :)

For most of those opposed, take your pick of a zillion issues. Bad law, trumping of states rights by the federal, stretching of the constitution to the breaking point, etc. For Ted? Yeah, it's money. It's contributions from organizations that supposedly support women that he's after, automatic deposits far more regular than his paycheck for the party, and votes cast automatically.

Maybe because it has killed millions of potential Democratic voters. Ever hear of the Roe Effect? It suggests that the lion's share of aborted babies would have grown up to become Democrats if they had lived, and Al Gore would have been elected by a healthy margin in 2000. Therefore over the next twenty years, we shouldn't be surprised if the Democrats abort themselves out of existence.

The way abortion was made "lawful" is what is at stake.

Because abortion on demand is the holiest of "holy" issues for liberals.
First, remember that to a liberal woman, working in the home to make an orderly household for herself, a husband and children is the total antithesis of their idea of feminism, and this (liberal) feminism is a great source of their power, perhaps their greatest source. So abortion is almost always a "konveniences kill" that allows a woman to continue working outside the home without the bother of a baby.
Also, it avoids having a woman having to take responsibility for her actions. Liberals like this. Just as they don't want there to be any responsibility for taking drugs, they don't want to take responsibility for getting pregnant. If someone robs a bank, it's not their fault, it's someone else's fault. Liberals simply don't want to hold people accountable for their actions because that would be hard.
Societies get into trouble when they pretend things are true when they aren't true and can then rationalize all sorts of things. Examples:
- The US got into trouble when it pretended that black people were not people and legalized slavery was the result.
- The Nazis pretended that Jewish people weren't really people and the (European) holocaust was the result.
- Many people these days want to pretend that homosexuality is normal and this is contributing to the breakdown of families. A current movie celebrates homosexuality but ignores that fact it destroyed two families.-
- With abortion, liberals like to pretend that a fetus is not a human being. They now go way beyond Roe v. Wade and actually support partial birth abortion where a hole is made in the baby's head and its brains are sucked out.
Like I said, societies get into trouble when they start pretending. If a fetus was the equivalent of a gall bladder, there would be no bigger pro-choicer than me. But I'm a pro-lifer because a fetus is separate human being from its mother and this is provable with DNA.

Abortion is advocated only by persons who have themselves been born.
