Eight Senate Democrats on the Judiciary Committee had their chance to fire opening shots at Judge Samuel Alito as his confirmation hearings got under way Monday.
Now that youve had a chance to take it all in, Human Events Onlines AlitoBlog.com wants to know who deserves the honor of the biggest windbag.
Was it Kennedy? Schumer? Leahy? Cast your vote now.
"WIRE HANGARS? I TOLD YOU NOOOOOO WIIIIIRE HANGERS!!!
Hands down, the senior balloon from my state, Kennedy.
This is no contest. Which says a lot.
Without hesitation, is has to be Ted Kennedy!
How about Stephanie Tubbs-Jones and Maxine Waters? There is no one at home upstairs in either of them.
I sooner get between Willie McGinest and a quarterback than between Putzhead and a camera.
Does this assessment include Kennedy's 46-point handicap due to extreme alcoholic brain damage?
Stirling Hot Air Engine with horizontal mounted cylinder.
Engine is fired by a alcohol burner. Engine runs at 800 to 1500 RPM. Speed is adjusted by the length of the wick. It has 6 ball bearings. Made of high quality brass, stainless steel and aluminum. Measures 8.5 inches long X 6 inches wide X 7.5 inches high. It's mounted on a very nice mahogany wood base. Manufactured in Germany. $810.00 each
Does the winner have to be on Judiciary? If not, I nominate the one and only winner, the man, the myth, the legend, the Whigger, Robert Carlyle Byrd.
...unless your name is Kennedy and you can live out your useless existence on a trust fund.
Arlen?
There are too many to name, but if I had to choose one it would be Kennedy. The choice is quite clear.
They are all so deserving, however I give Joe Biden the biggest windbag honors.
Covering myself with both spellings in the same post. It's as good of an excuse as any. :O)
Biden. I don't think there is a man in America who has carried out a longer, more passionate affair with the sound of his own voice. ;)
Kennedy
On the committee, Ted.
In the Senate: Byrd
The biggest windbag for me will always be Joe Biden. He perfected his tiresome persona during the Clarence Thomas hearings ( God, I wish I had audiotapes of his sleek in-love-with-himself bloviating). Even though he is not now and never was one of the Big Three or Big Four, he has something all his own: as you listen to him, you can feel him listening to himself and thinking "I am SO much better than Harry or Chuck or Nancy or Hillary....man, I will NEVER get my due, but I truly AM Mr. Democrat....man, I bring a touch of class to everything I touch.....mannnn..............". He is TRULY in a class by himself.
Thats what gets me about Kennedy, he is always talking about "working" people and the "little" guy. What the hell does he know about working people or the little guy? He was born with a gold spoon in his mouth and has never ever done a days work in his entire life!
