"Is Chuck Shumer a metrosexual"
IF he is that's his best character trait, all the rest are down hill.
Let's put it this way he would be right at home in Key West.Plus I don't think he will be entering any "strong man" competition any time soon.LOL--
I was just hoping someone would lighten up this thread a little too many heavy duty posts today, everyone is razor sharp and I am 150 posts behind.

Rodguy911, I cannot imagine, in any way shape or form, seeing Chuck Schume in shorts. He'd scare everyone off the docks.

You are so right, trolls and limp wristed reactionary Republicans on those threads. They do nothing but complain and belly ache, and a lot of them are making the trolls look almost sane. Someone needs to b!tch slap them into sobriety. They call the Pubbies spineless, but at the first sign of a fight they whimper, and whine.

Maybe they are naive or idealistic but unfortunately in politics you have to be realist even if it means only a percentage of the time do you actually get passed exactly what you want, you simply have to look at what the alternative would have been What is so frustrating is they all claim to LOVE Ronald Reagan. Gee Reagan was a SURPEMELY realistic politician. Reagan knew how to get things done and work with people. Now days the process is be so rabidly partisans that a good segment of the population on BOTH sides simply whats "their guys" to destroy the other side. Excuse me? We are all suppose to be American Citizens NOT Political activists THEN somewhere down the line American citizens. The "other side" never going to go away so waiting for them to "be destoried" is going to doom a certain segment of our political body to perpetual political rage. Kind of sad actually. Hopefully our 100%ers on both sides will grow up one day but I am now hopeful.

Sometimes true words are spoke in jest. I would hope that the Dems will be chewing off their own feet to get away from this mess in a couple of weeks. They may think they are rid of Tom Delay, but he may be replaced by an energizer bunny, or road runner type that makes them pray for Tom Delay back. I think Tom Delay will eventually be Speaker of the House. Just my Humble opinion.

"
Boy, I wish Mike Wallace would take the rest of the year off, and let Brit handle the interviews!" Didn't get up at 5:30am to watch live, but caught Brit in his last 5 min with panel - now looking forward to seeing the interviews in a few minutes.
Like you, I wish Brit were handling the interviews, but, watching him on the panel for that 5 min. here is what I came up with ....
Brit handles all interviews, then writes the questions for the panel host - Mike Wallace - but sits as a panelist and is given an aggressive role in answering the questions and correcting when necessary.

Hello,
I remember having many "spirited" discussions with some Freepers about the very points you are making here. There is not, nor will ever be, a perfect world. I view it as a 2 steps forward, 1 step back process (if we are lucky). The Left did not change the US overnight. It took decades!! We will not undo those changes overnight.
My advice to all: Keep your eye on the prize, keep working, challenge those that either demand the status quo or that demand that "perfect" candidate. Both stances will ultimately lead to the failure of conservatism and this nation.
Glad to be here, MOgirl

No luck yet with more recent photo of John Boehner but here is a nice photo of the President from today
President Bush waves as he leaves St. John's Church in Washington, Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006. The President attended church with first lady Laura Bush before heading out for a bike ride in Virginia
