...The unreported trip was a week-long 1999 visit to Taiwan, paid for by the Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, for "meetings with government, military and business officials," according to a filing Pelosi signed June 30. The flights cost $3,400 each for Pelosi and her husband. The hotel cost was $940. The sponsor, which has picked up trips for leaders of both parties, paid $300 for meals.
Pelosi said she had provided "a good faith estimate" of the cost of the other two trips, since her "office records for that period do not indicate the costs." In 1998, NBC paid for a $200 trip to New York for a "Meet the Press" appearance, according to the filing. In 1999, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee paid $300 for transportation to Delray Beach, Fla., and $40 for meals for Pelosi to appear at a reception and briefing.
Whoops.
Nancy's words will come back and bite her, and when they do, she'll spin, she'll point fingers, she may even cry. But seeing how this scandal may touch almost every United States Senator, Pelosi may be lamenting how lousy she'll look wearing orange...

It's bound to happen. Her good 'Bud' Harry Reid across the hallway already did. Remember the December 18, 2005 thread of
Sen. Reid calls US Congress 'most corrupt in history' found at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1542940/posts. It was a hoot.
Things like "the Republican-led Congress is the most corrupt in history", "Don't lump me in with Jack Abramoff. This is a Republican scandal," as well as that tried and true slogan when the Democrats have accused Republicans of "a culture of corruption,".
Well!! I guess all I can say is

ROFLOL !!!

Sadly, this corruption is spread all over D.C. - over BOTH parties. Multiply this by many other lobbies in that crooked city, and you may just barely scrape the surface of the corruption.
...Thus my prediction: Alas, MSM will essentially bury it and it'll be old news in a couple of months. Nothing but a Big Yawn.

So it's okay when Pelosi accepts trips that exceed the limits, but not Republicans. Got that? It's clearly different rules for Republicans v. Democrats.

It's that old maxim: "Those in charge set the rules". No, no I don't have that quite right.
Let me try again. It's "Those who think their in charge set the rules and those who are in charge lie down and let the losers walk all over them over". Yeah, I think I finally got it right now.
I believe it's an old historical political disease about like the power shuffle bendover skatitis. [sarcasm off]

Anyone who thinks this will be handled evenhandedly by the MSM need only look at how they portrayed the DeLay indictment with yesterday's fine paid by HRC's campaign.
Don't know about you, but I didn't hear a peep about the latter story on local media. Of course, her campaign was found guilty, while DeLay was actually accused...hey, wait a minute...
