Not good news. It's pretty common for strokes to follow pretty closely another stroke. With luck, it will be a minor one and the surgery can still go on.

Either way, his career is over. I agree with another article that this presages a generational turnover in Israeli politics. Like when the Brezhnev generation died out in the old Soviet Union (Brezhnev/Andropov/Chernenko). No way is his one-man-show political party going to survive without him. Nor am I going to assume that Netanyahu is an automatic shoo-in.
Face it, recent actions prove that the man had outlived his usefulness.
