I'd like to see the same treatment applied to George Soros.

Huh? The Post and NY Times both have solid graphs showing the money. How is it that you say Fox is the only one?

Well, it didn't take Nancy Pelosi long to proclaim she wasn't surprised since this is the most corrupt administration ever. Some people actually listen to her. It just isn't good, especially with all the other "scandals" out there now.

It really bothers me that this guy Scanlon worked for DeLay. I truthfully think DeLay is history.

Agreed. Big problem. On the other hand, the Congress, as a whole, is where the MAJOR ROT in Washington sits. Totally corruptable. It is why I have always been AGAINST LOBBYING. Washington clearly stopped working for the people of this country a long time ago -- and works only for itself and its contributors, legal and illegal. I hope this thing blows a huge hole in the Congress and exposes ALL the participants --- maybe then will we have a chance to get back a Congress that realizes that they were sent there to work FOR the people, not against them.

Well, did Soros set up a bunch of fake companies? This NYT graphic is completely omitting what I saw in the CSPAN testimony last night concerning all these bogus "Christian" research organizations set up ny Abramoff and his partner that did not even exist. I thought that was REALLY horrible, to not only set up fake companies, but then to attach the word "Christian" to the name of these bogus companies, so that people would think these fake businesses were somehow legit. Really terrible! No wonder this guy Abramoff was pleading for mercy from the Almighty yesterday.

And, BTW, I don't know if Soros did or didn't! But, this guy Abramoff sure did.

I didn't know about the fake companies, but I wouldn't be surprised if Soros was involved in similar behavior. The man is just as evil. I just can't get past the way the press wants to tar and feather the Republican legislators and give a pass to the Democrats. Harry Reid needs to go down, as well.

The press may want to tar and feather the GOP, but as I said in a previous post -- I think it is to the credit of the GOP that the GOP DOJ went after a Republican lobbyist. Is there any similiar claim the Dems can ever make like that? Policing their own this way? I don't think so. And I think the "tremors" being reported means there are some corrupt Dems out there who will not be spared in this matter. So, let's wait and see..

I don't think that the GOP has the guts to go after the Rats, they tried under the Clinton administration with the Chinese campaign donations and it went no where.

I still don't know what he bought with this money. access? sure, money buys access. look at the RIAA, there money buys not just access, but major pieces of legislation like the DMCA taking away consumers fair use rights.

what did Abramoff get for his money?

Abramoff was too dumb to be rich. He was destined for prison time one way or another.

Welcome to the deep, dark underbelly of Politicians and Lobbyists..From both sides of the isle....Pass the popcorn.

We just need someone reporting on this other than the NYT who won't report the left's involvement.

Wash Times? NY Post? Maybe I'll stick with FReeperville.

good. that's a different issue - getting rid of these funds now that we know the source of the money was from ill gotten gains. Everyone should do that? Are any Dems doing that, the white house needs to call on all Democrats to do this also.

But this is a different issue then finding out what this money bought.
