"Parents who traveled from South Carolina and Clearwater to bring their 11- to 13-year-old daughters to a five-day soccer tournament said they were shocked by the parade of sexually adventurous partygoers who sashayed through the glass-enclosed atrium, sometimes flashing breasts and bare buttocks in front of their children."
I would think that would be illegal...
I've read that ordinarily these groups reserve a closed off space.
I hope the money made by the Crowne Plaza hotel from the "swingers" (I'd describe them as pathetically-eager-for-attention adult adolescents) will compensate them for the future bookings they're not going to get.

Sounds like a bad idea to me. The pool was probably in need of a good cleaning.
Usually swinger events rent out the entire hotel to avoid such problems. My guess is that when the event organizers weren't able to fill the hotel as they had done last year, the hotel had no other choice than to rent out the vacant rooms. The event should have been canceled or relocated to a smaller hotel. Both the hotel and the event organizers are at fault here.
I wonder whether common areas of hotels are considered "public spaces." If so, that's probably a whole lot of counts of indecent exposure the cops can charge these 'swingers' with.
I was in Punta Gorda, Florida nowhere near Orlando on New Year's Eve ping.......
I've been to many similar competitive youth soccer tourneys across the nation. The Disney showcase is one of the top in the nation, and like many others, must certainly have contracted with a travel service to book a block of rooms at the hotel for their guests. The hotel knew full well that they were booking both a Swinger's sex party AND a youth soccer tourney simultaneously. They are 100% at fault for not taking adequate steps to keep the two groups apart. They really never should've booked both groups in the first place. I fully expect that not only will the parents get after the hotel, but Disney should raise a major stink about it. There's simply no excuse for this!
When I was a young pup, one day I was working at Disney during one of the Gayday celebrations, and this man asked me if I was taking out the trash, and I said "yes", and so he put his hand on his hip, like I was goign to escort him, and said- we'll let's go! I thought that was pretty funny...
"...a hotel that was hosting a New Year's Eve party for more than 200 self-described swingers, who had reserved a downstairs ballroom.."
It makes perfect sense that you would find swingers in a "ballroom".
Is this true, I thought that was the main complaint, that Disney didn't tell people, and they wouldn't refund their $$
Soccer parents I once knew would have viewed this as an extra perk.
I've been on the other side of this. The ex and I used to go to NYC once a year for a show, shopping, etc.
Nearly every year there would be some group of kids, either soccer, cheerleading or some family reunion. Every time the kids would be racing up and down the halls until the very small hours of the morning. Taking up tables in the bars and lounges, etc.
The parents would invariably treat the hotel as their private theme park and turn their kids loose.
No surprise with the laid back attitude of hotel management. They have probably seen enough 'gay days' from Disney to know the 'swingers' were pretty tame by comparison.
Shoulda called the cops. I'm sure that nudity in front of children is covered under some statute somewhere.
