I kinda wish the Dems would put their money where their mouth is and go all the way --- BRING IT ON !!!
We'll see how this plays out to the American people on November 2006.

If the Left fought America's enemies as vigorously as they fight America, we'd have 100 years of peace easily!

With a Dem lapdog like Specter heading Judiciary, anything is possible. What fools the Republican senators were who voted for this senile dinsaur as chairman!

Impeachment is a non-issue as long as there is a Republican majority.
I know most people here disagree with me but I agreed with the Senate that the impeachment of Bil Clinton served no purpose and hurt the U.S. It would be nice if the Dems had learned from that rather than seeking revenge. But I suppose that is too much to hope for.

Don't you find it interesting that when Clinton had Monica under his desk, the Democrats had no problem with him risking National Security? Even when Clinton gave military and space secrets to the Chinese, the Democrats just didn't have a problem. Now that leaks involving National Security are exposed, they STILL don't have a problem with it?
They are only preoccupied with Bush "eavesdropping" on potential Al Qaeda conversations while we are at war. They seem to think the NSA is listening in on their dirty little Democratic secrets or something.

John Dean weighed in on the parallels between the two Presidents. In his powerful article I love that word POWERFUL there. Is the article able to demolish mountains with a single punch???
To: SirLinksalot
If the democRATS take the House this year,Bush will almost certainly be impeached. But during the hearings in both the House and the Senate, all Mr Bush's people need to do is
1) recite the numerous quotes from democRATS since '98 stating how dangerous Sadaam was and how likely he was to cause serious trouble in the future 2)showing films of the WTC being hit by 767's and then falling and
3)if "illegal spying" is one of the charges, recite all the cries about "why didn't Bush connect the dots before 9/11?"

The basic premise of impeaching the president for the NSA and torture "scandals" is idiotic. When you have a president whose overall approval rating is somewhere in the vicinity of 40%-50%, There is no way in hell he's going to be impeached
over two specific issues on which at least 70% of the U.S. public supports him.
I would also suggest that in the last 40 years the term "high crimes and misdemeanors" has lost every shred of its meaning anyway.
