A mother in Dallas is one of several parents complaining about a new interactive book for toddlers in which Sesame Street character Elmo asks "who wants to die?" according to a Local 6 News report.
Family members said 16-month-old Miranda Boll's new book, "Potty Time With Elmo," was supposed to teach an interactive lesson using voice commands. However, when the book's buttons are pressed, it reportedly says something it is not supposed to -- "who wants to die?"
"It's a sick joke," mother Angela Bolls said. "If it's a joke then it's a bad one, you know? And it's not necessary. It's inappropriate."
Bolls said she checked another copy of the same book and found that it says something completely different; "Who wants to try to go potty?"
The company that makes the book said it has had several complaints concerning the book, according to the report.

Ping
"Realize the righteousness of my cause and go potty or die!"
Elmo becomes overzealous of his job.
Hmmmmm....WHERE is that book made? I believe I'd have the book swabbed and screened by toxicologists.
Bush's fault!
Suicide bombers need training too...

After I made my guess, I googled the call letters and found that the station was the WaPost station transmitting from Bithlo, Florida.
Florida wasn't on the list I found of states with a Dallas. I'll work on the topics and keywords.
Does anybody remember the infamous Teletubbie legend about Po, the red TT, that was reported to say "fa****, fa****, fa****, bite my butt"?
I told the story to a friend of mine who had a young daughter, shared a good laugh and forgot about it. Christmas night she called me, laughing hysterically -- it seems her daughter had recieved the evil Po as a gift and the cursed thing DID say the "fa****" lines! We were both in tears from laughing so hard.
They are out of Orlando, Florida.
Elmo's one bad mutha!
Yes, and the call letters are in honor of WaPo bigshot Kathrine Graham.
I recall that hideous thing.
Kidmonster had one, but I dunno where it went.
This reminds me of when people tried to play death metal tapes in Teddy Ruxpin...
LOL!
Ever play a Teddy Ruxpin tape in a regular cassette deck?
It was rather.. amusing.
"Ever play a Teddy Ruxpin tape in a regular cassette deck?

I never tried that (a cousin of mine had a Teddy Ruxpin). What happened?
"BARBARA! BRING ME SOME HOT CHOCOLATE!"
You heard the voiceover, but you also heard the programming squeals clicks and pops that told the eyes and mouth motors to move.
Remember teh old cassette tape drives for teh Commodore 64 and other compiuters?
Ever accidentally put one of the program tapes into a cassette deck?
QUITE memorable if you did.
Now I want to know what he said, it was removed.
