I would have to use beef or pork...I am not real fond of venison...but, it does sound good.

Thanks...

What do you serve with it??

You know, we had had 110 brush fires* in Harris County between Christmas and 2 days ago -- and I never saw a single thing about it in the news until they were making the gunfire reward announcement and mentioned which fireworks were being banned (and which ones weren't).

All fireworks have been banned in the Houston city limits for many years, so I sort of tune it out. Of course, I still hear and see them every holiday.

*(I first wrote "bush fries" - but couldn't think of a clever way to cover my*self for the typo.)

You can make some onion rings and mushrooms using the same ingredients when you cook it up.

Its kinda a finger food, but it makes a great meal if you add variety and make plenty.

Would be a good choice for a super bowl party.

Sorry I wore you out with my story about the fridge.

Oh...no...I was just sympathizing! In our family we say, "It just wore me OUT!!"

You are right!! I usually have an array of finger foods that day...so I can enjoy the game and not have to be cooking.

Hi friend...I was just hoping that this weekend is a much happier one for you than last weekend was...

I know that you were away from your family...which is a bummer anytime..but during Christmas...especially hard.

Please let us know how you are doing, if you are freeping tonight..okay?

You can cook them in advance, put in fridge in a covered bowl, and nuke them before serving on game day.

From what I saw in Germany I would definitely say it is a German thing. They did the same thing with lamb as well

Hubby says thank you for the encouragement and best wishes. I've told him that I'm so happy and proud of him for making the decision to quit. I know it will be difficult for him because he is outside most of the time, or driving sometimes for an hour or so at a time to and from locations, in his work. Like you said, he'll replace the cigarette habit with another habit like Commit Lozenges, and maybe chewing gum too, but it'll be better than cigarettes!

I know what you mean about the Windex test. Cigarette smoke never bothered me when I smoked, but it sure can make me sick to my stomach now.

We had dinner in New Braunfels years ago on the way home from Oregon.

The recipes is really good and sooo easy with the crockpot. Hope you enjoy!
