Following the Dec. 7 season finale of South Park, titled "Bloody Mary," the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights slammed the network for its irreverent portrayal of church icons and sought to block the episode from being rebroadcast.
It appears the group may have met with success. A repeat of the finale was scheduled to air Wednesday night, but was seemingly pulled from the Comedy Central lineup without explanation.
In the episode, a statue of the Virgin Mary is believed to be bleeding from its rear end, inspiring faithful parishioners to flock from miles around to be healed by the miraculous blood.

Censorship is necessary for civilization. This is a site for conservatives, not authoritarian bootlickers of such craven character that they have to turn the world into a padded room lest they have to take personal responsibility for their own lives.
Perhaps you took a wrong turn at the last URL? http://www.democraticunderground.com/ seems like it might be more your speed.

You guys should invest in one of those TV's with a channel selector so you are not forced to watch the Comedy Channel when you don't like what they offer. That way, you might not be tempted to try to limit what other adults watch.
You may want to invest in one of those computers with an off switch so that you aren't forced to read posts that don't offer what you like.
How do you guys say it? "Don't like it? Don't read it!"

"You may want to invest in one of those computers with an off switch so that you aren't forced to read posts that don't offer what you like"But the responses did offer me something I like, it offered me a view into tiny, crabbed, self-righteous,angry little minds. For me that is a warm and rich source of humor.

People who pay $12,000 to buy a grilled cheese sandwich relic on eBay in order to feel closer to God should be taunted "Blessed are the cheesemakers"

Why is it politically incorrect to publicly criticize the religious views of others ?
Because in most cases, it's done insultingly? I know that most pseudo-intellectuals and libertines are low-class, vulgar, and obnoxious, but in most society's, it's important to be respectful of others.
To: Blzbba
Thank you :)
I had to get that out there....

Yeah, but you'd need to film some drunk stepping into it...or you, throwing it at a liberal...or putting it in a bag, lighting bag on fire, placing on doorstep, ringing doorbell and running away. THAT'D be funny.

Yeah, but remember it's edgy and it pushes the envelope. So does me taking a stinking dump in the middle of 5th Avenue, but... Make it funny and you've got something.

Fact of the matter is, there is no entertainment show on television that promotes conservative values with more edge or passion than South Park. Period. Full stop.
LOL.

You sure are living up to your username. Where am I? GoosestepUnderground.com? Geesh.
Can I call Godwin here? Wow, you're such an intelligent person with kneejerk responses like this.
Do you believe there should be any limits on freedom? At all? Freedom without limits is license, and they are not the same thing. Not even close.

Yep. Worshipping of false idols is apparently OK with these outraged Catholic bishops.
Someone's here to push their agenda.
To: MikeinIraq
I am sure the plagarising, false-witness bearing aholes from the other thread will love this....YOU included.....
Nice personal attack.
To: democratsaremyenemy
The episode doesn't rip Catholics who don't worship statues (there are at least one or two who don't).
It isn't mocking the church, but idolaters.

Exactly.
Note that the Bishops do not care when OTHER Christian theology is mocked, only when MARY becomes involved.
Very telling as to how high the Church views Mary when compared to the stuff that REALLY matters.
