MULTAN, Pakistan - Nazir Ahmed appears calm and unrepentant as he recounts how he slit the throats of his three young daughters and their 25-year old stepsister to salvage his family's "honor" — a crime that shocked Pakistan.
The 40-year old laborer, speaking to The Associated Press in police detention as he was being shifted to prison, confessed to just one regret — that he didn't murder the stepsister's alleged lover too.
Hundreds of girls and women are murdered by male relatives each year in this conservative Islamic nation, and rights groups said Wednesday such "honor killings" will only stop when authorities get serious about punishing perpetrators.
The independent Human Rights Commission of Pakistan said that in more than half of such cases that make it to court, most end with cash settlements paid by relatives to the victims' families, although under a law passed last year, the minimum penalty is 10 years, the maximum death by hanging.

When I read the part about the number of honor killings of young women, and giving the fact that Muslims practice polygamy, I wondered if they might be running out of women. Apparently they are and they have found a solution: kidnap them.
That's a good question. With so much liberal carcinogens everywhere I am not sure there is a solution.
I'm curious. After he killed them, did he then wash and pray? Islam ascribes a very high priority to cleaning oneself, donning white robes and praying. It's all very ritualistic, cult-like. I'm wondering if he did. I wish the news media would report that kind of stuff.

You just nuke the bastards one at a time by building a large nuker at the prison. Shove the perp in, nuke on THAW and wait for the kicking to almost stop.
Remove, dip in rotten milk, then roll in Kosher salt.
Fry in hot bacon grease until cripsy.
Crumble, mix with molasses & oats, and place in pigs' trough.

I think this guy has really taken "honor killings" to a new level. Killing 3 preadolescent girls, just as a preventive measure, in case they might someday have "brought dishonor" on the family? This won't even fly with the sickest of Muslim extremists. The guy is toast, and will be killed in similar manner to how he killed his daughters.
I hope you're right, but won't hold my breath. In a US prison, he might be dead in a week. But in Pakistan, among an entire prison population of child-murderers, acid-throwers, and incestuous gang rapists, he may not be viewed in as negative a light. I suggest a US-Pakistan prisoner swap.
He's not likely to be left to the mercy of prisoners. I expect he will be sentenced to death, and unlike the U.S., when a Pakistani court issues a death sentence it's actually carried out, and promptly.
Where are all the feminists speaking out against such barbarity? Where is Germaine Greer? Where are all the liberals protesting such barbarity?
