President Bush waves as he carries Barney while departing Air Force One, Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, in Waco, Texas to spend the remaining holiday season at his Crawford ranch. The Bushes will return to Washington on New Year's Day. Bush over the weekend called nine U.S. service members deployed from Japan to the Persian Gulf to recognize their service to the nation and wish them holiday cheer. (AP Photo/Jerry Larson)

Always learning. It's still very beautiful. I have yet to learn to enlarge a picture without it pixelating.

Well, stop in somewhere warm and have a nice cup of tea or cocoa before you begin to get too cold. How much snow have you had?

I know what you mean. On last Thursday, hubby had gone to bed very early since he was not feeling well. I got on the couch and was watching tv. All of a sudden, I started crying my eyes out for no apparent reason. I cried for about 30 minutes and I was ok, again. I guess it hit me that Jan would not be here for another Christmas, ever.

I lost my grandmother about 13 years ago and again the feelings I have now are very similar to then. In some ways it was even worse with my nan because she was at home right till the end. Somehow with help from a private carer mum looked after her till the end. She had dementia also but the form it took with her was a great fear she would scream if left alone even a few seconds.
She would also cry out at night as well in fact for months after her death I still "heard" her at night. For a quite a few years after as well occasionally I would hear her.

Not a lot compared to what you have in the States but we are not used to and I think dad's main concern is that it may freeze and be slippery.
About an inch.

I live in the Western part of Texas. We hardly ever get snow, and if we do it usually melts overnight. Today our high temperature was 73...very un-wintery! That kind of high is very unusual, too, so the other shoe might just fall some sweet day, as it were, and get down to 0!
Just be careful while walking about. Wish I were there to walk around town with you.

I grew up with on again off again Catholicism as inflicted by a twisted grandma that didn't believe in left-handedness and a whole bunch else. We can be thankful that she got married instead of becoming a nun. If she worked in a Catholic school there would be generations of messed up children in dire need of therapy today.
As for me, I stumbled upon a church that allegedly embraces those of us with visions/premonitions/whatever you want to call it...instead of suggesting pills.
