New England Patriots at New York Jets
I wonder if the teams playing on Monday Night when ESPN takes over will still be allowed to show the game on local TV. Here in Colorado when the Broncos are on ESPN Sunday Night our local ABC station is allowed to simulcast for those who do not have cable.
Maybe...I might have the number messed up. He was covered pretty good there, he should be a TE !
The NFL told Disney they wanted to move the better prime time games to Sunday night. Disney declined that package so it went to NBC. Disney still had MNF but since it would be given the lesser games they decided it wasn't worth putting on ABC.
Did you catch any of the Motor City bowl?
batting 1.000....
Would be nice if Gillette Stadium could host a Super Bowl
but they want domes or sites out West or down South.
Don't want people to freeze their butts, I guess...Unless
Kraft can throw a roof on (yeah, right), no Super Bowls
hosted in New England.
I'd think that the NFL would have kept that clause in the contract that allowed a local station to show the game on broadcast. But I don't know for sure. I can't see how a team could be playing NFL football and it not be broadcast in the home town.
Never happen. Remember after 911 there was talk of a SB at Giants Stadium? What ever became of that?
It's almost as if the more TD's he catches the more the defense is convinced that the Patriots are using Vrabel as a decoy so they don't pay attention to him.
Football was meant to be played in the snow and cold :-)
About a decade ago there was talk about building a dome in Boston for the Red Sox and the Patriots. Thankfully the talks never got off the ground.
ABC is a joke. Do they think they've got shows that would do better than NFL games? "Commander-in-Chief"? "Wife swap"? Please. I'd rather watch an NFL game between two losing teams that have no shot at the playoffs who are playing second string quarterbacks. Heck, pre-season is better than most ABC "entertainment".
nope
I was watching the replay of OSU-Michigan at my parent's house before we hit the road...
I think Snyder walked out of an owner's meeting when they decided they weren't going to have a Super Bowl in Maryland.
I think it was because of "Desperate Housewives" that ABC declined.
ABC's the new NBC. They want to corner the broad audience (my apologies to any women here).
Interesting ending.
Ouch! That one is gonna leave a mark! :-)
Brady has made more than his share of crappy throws lately.
You got that right. After that commercial, I stopped watching Monday Night Football on ABC.
The only hope for the Jets is that they lose, get a good draft pick, and send Herman Edwards packing. AJets fan says "Go Pats!!"
