ABC owns the controlling interest in ESPN (80%). They're spinning the end of MNF as buyout for $1.1b, but this is nothing more than a programming decision by ABC, which is owned by Disney. Does ABC really have so much compelling entertainment content that they need the Monday night slot? I don't think so. Why move MNF to cable?

Not until after 2010. All the SB sites are tied up for the remainder of the decade. That's one reason Jerry Jones wants a new stadium. Projected seating is around 73,000 with an expansion capability built in. I'd love to go the first SB in Cowboys Stadium, as it's being called. Can't wait to go to the first-ever regular season game there. Be part of Cowboys history. Just wonder who the sacrificial lamb will be.
