ITSY-BITSY, teeny-weeny bikinis are common -- but now multicultural Australia has head-to-foot "burqinis".
Designer Aheda Zanetti calls the outfit an "Islamic bikini" because it has pants and a top.
She said the costume, marketed under the name Ahiida and available on the internet, covered everything except hands, feet and face.
She said it had a "hijood", named after the traditional hijab. Mother-of-four Adeeba Nabulsi said the outfit allowed her to swim with her children in mixed-sex public pools.

Interestingly enough, there are companies making modest swimwear for Christians, too. Here's an example of one of their suits, with a link to the company below. I don't see a problem with people wearing modest clothing. Do you?:

Let me be the wet blanket here.
What is wrong with just a little modesty? I go to the mall and am not sure that I have not wandered into a whorehouse seeing the nubile young females showing their stuff.
I am over 50. What is it like for my teenager sons? Hell, back in the day, I only saw sights like that in magazines.
One thing that the evil and insane mullahs used to get over on the West, ir our moral decadence.
Flame away, all y'all horndogs.

A wet suit would cover the same amount of skin, and provide bouyancy as well.

At some point I'd guess that the yet to emerge Muslim women's suffrage movement will demand the right to two bare arms...
To: MineralMan; Excuse_My_Bellicosity
I do not see a problem. But, getting as close to naked in public as possible seems to be a fundamental right for some.

Modest clothing is fine for people who wish to be modest.
My only concern is how soon will we be hearing the call for all women to wear modest clothing as not to OFFEND the Islamic sensibilities.

Sure, societies that murder their rape victims on the grounds that they had to be behaving promiscuously, blowing up random people in shopping malls and pizza restaurants, allowing men to kill their wives for not being a good enough house servant, and frequently using gang-rape as punishment against women sure has grounds to be waggling their fingers at westerners for their morals. It's like Ted Bundy lecturing me for not keeping my wife in line.
There's nothing wrong with a bit of modesty at all, but islam defaulted on their moral authority to preach to us a long time ago.

And, here's another modest swimsuit for teens. This one's a pattern, so home-schooled girls can stitch this one up themselves:

There are plenty of Christians calling for modest clothing, too. I've seen many posts here. That's why I'm providing some Christian alternatives.
