(IsraelNN.com) Some of the members of the Christian Peacemaker Teams kidnapped in Iraq were previously stationed in Hevron, where members of the local Jewish community say they interfered with security forces and incited local Arabs against Jews living in the city.
Fariel Abu Haikel, Headmistress at Kurtuba Girls School in Hevron praised the work of the volunteers and asked that the Iraqi terrorists that kidnapped them set them free. As a women who works with them, I send my call for the Iraqi resistance to release these people because CPT are very important people for us. To Bush I say that democracy is not imposed - democracy is given by people, not given by armies. We are sending our call for the faction that kidnapped these people in Iraq to release them immediately because we need them here."

But what ever happened to them? Do we want them back?
To: Jack_1
Just incredible. On the bright side, maybe if Arabs behead a few antisemitic activists, it will have a chilling effect on others trying to follow in the footsteps of St. Pancake.

CPT, on its web site, announced that it did not hold the kidnapping against the Iraqi terrorists. "Perhaps you are men who only want to raise the issue of illegal detention," reads a statement from the remaining CPT team in Iraq. "We don't know what you may have endured. As you can see by the statements of support from our friends in Iraq and all over the world, we work for those who are oppressed. We also condemn our own governments for their actions in Iraq."Hoooo boy! I can't wait to see what sort of funeral they put on when the bodies are shipped home. Yeah, I know, wishful thinking. 50-50 this is a put up job, like with the Italian chicks, nobody's going to get hurt. Unfortunately. Hopefully you can forgive me for praying otherwise.

Well, what has happened to these 'Activists' (AKA Agitators). Haven't heard a thing since the deadline passed over week ago. Guess they haven't milked it for all the possible publicity so they'll keep on extending it until they have - Then they'll be freed. :-(

They were wearing their "useful idiots" tee shirts...it's surprising they were taken...guess that just proves what sort of idiots they are.

Maybe they got released and are trying to get "kidnapped" again by a better group of "freedom fighters".

They were wearing their "useful idiots" tee shirts...it's surprising they were taken...guess that just proves what sort of idiots they are.I'd be very surprised if they hadn't agreed "to be taken". They think this kind of a stunt will put pressure on the US to leave Iraq.
And if their "captors" decide that killing them is necessary, well -
To: speekinout
Exactly. The reason we haven't heard anymore about them is that they are working with their "captors." I wouldn't be surprised to discover that money is being raised for their "release" in Canada and the UK.

I wouldn't be surprised to discover that money is being raised for their "release" in Canada and the UK.That wouldn't surprise me either. But I still think this is a publicity stunt to sway public opinion in the West. I hope the "hostages" are correct in thinking that their "captors" are on their same side.

Hating Jews is not enough brotherhood with terrorists to keep them alive. Their mistake is thinking that the Muslims hate the "litte satan" more than the "great satan". Won't the Muslims be surprised when they hack of their heads only to find them empty?
