I, Hillary Rodham Clinton, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God."
On January 20, 2009, at precisely noon, the world will witness the inauguration of the forty-fourth president of the United States. As the chief justice administers the oath of office on the flag-draped podium in front of the U.S. Capitol, the first woman president, Hillary Rodham Clinton, will be sworn into office. By her side, smiling broadly and holding the family Bible, will be her chief strategist, husband, and copresident, William Jefferson Clinton.
If the thought of another Clinton presidency excites you, then the future indeed looks bright. Because, as of this moment, there is no doubt that Hillary Clinton is on a virtually uncontested trajectory to win the Democratic nomination and, very likely, the 2008 presidential election. She has no serious opposition in her party. More important, a majority of all American voters - 52 percent - now supports her candidacy.
But her victory is not inevitable. There is one, and only one, figure in America who can stop Hillary Clinton: Secretary of State Condoleezza "Condi" Rice. Among all of the possible Republican candidates for president, Condi alone could win the nomination, defeat Hillary
Condoleezza Rice, in fact, poses a mortal threat to Hillary's success. With her broad-based appeal to voters outside the traditional Republican base, Condi has the potential to cause enough major defections from the Democratic Party to create serious erosion among Hillary's core voters. She attracts the same female, African American, and Hispanic voters who embrace Hillary, while still maintaining the support of conventional Republicans.
This is a race Condi can win.

The New Year is when we must start working at putting Hillary down. We can't wait until the 2006 elections are over....we have to do it NOW! We can't wait for her to get her foot in the door, as then there won't any stopping her and theres too many Hillary worshippers out there that think she can walk on water that have to be convinced that she's like a very contagious disease that spreads radidly and kills.
I'm praying that Peter Paul's case against her will balloon so the MSM can't ignore it as they have been doing up till now, and that both shedevil and slick will be put where they both belong......behind bars for a very long time.
You put it in a nutshell. Freepers who don't consider abortion to be all that important should understand that there are tens of millions of people who voted Republican in the last three elections who DO think it is important.
A lot of these people have stayed home in past elections and simply not bothered to vote. They would do so again. So, if you want a firm military leader in the war on terror, or if you want someone who will defend our borders, or if you want someone who will cut taxes, then you have to be prepared to understand that you won't get any of those things unless the candidate is supported by religious conservatives. There's no way a Republican can win election without them.
And these people are not just being stupid or unrealistic. After all, the right to life is the most basic right of all, and the Supreme Court's passage of Roe v. Wade has made mincemeat of the rule of constitutional law in this country. It's the cornerstone of judicial tyranny.

So, at some point after the dems "review" the report, will it be made public? Why aren't high profile Reps demanding its release? What is the reason it is still secret?
A couple of our splendid Republican Senators did the Democrats bidding and locked up the damning parts of the report. There's an outside chance the entire report will be published eventually but the chances are slim. Hillary has essentially dodged a political bullet thanks to her sycophants in the Dem party and a few obliging Republican idiots.
Why are you two so concerned with semantics. The important thing is that a Republican candidate who is not on the record as pro-life can not win the election.
Think about it: Could a pro-life democrat win?
Haley Barbour.
People need to keep in mind that this guy is a toe-sucking freak. His predictions are less reliable as a prognostication tool than a coin-flip. The last time I paid any attention to him at all was in 2000. He said, during the November Florida chad-counting fiasco, that Bush should concede the election to Gore.

If you honestly need to know whether or not Dr. Rice has ever actually performed an abortion you probably don't know enough about her to have an opinion on her feasibility as a presidential candidate.
I suspect this is not the case, which is why I accused you of getting distracted by semantics.
I further suspect that the opinion of the original poster who called Dr. Rice an "abortionist" does not differentiate those who perform abortions from politicians who facilitate their work. In that sense, you are right. Dr. Rice has never been in a position to facilitate abortions. Nevertheless, you would have to agree that a pro-abortion president is in a unique position to do just that. Which is why so many conservative for whom abortion is the key issue would fail to be excited by her candidacy.
Sigh. Heven't we learned anything about politics in the US, when it comes to democrats?
It doesn't matter how big a creep Hillary is. Skeletons don't matter. Image problems don't matter. Baggage doesn't matter.
Oh, just wait until people hear about this skandal! Then nobody will ever vote for her!
BS. People will be lining up to vote for her. Just watch.
She can garner the black vote? That's it? That's the best they can come up with?

I'm still not buying that hitlery can beat anyone. We have yet to see who will win the GOP primary and a lot of things will change by 2008. We still have George Allen, my personal favorite for the GOP. Unless another better conservative runs, he's the one for this voter. I don't think any of the RINOS has a chance and it's not clear if hitlery can even pull off her own rat victory.
"The toesucker is merely trying to peddle his books."
I'm with you on that...hitlery is going nowhere, IMO. She's so far gone with her internal polling nationwide that she is trying desperately to revamp the dim caucus to start in another state, not Iowa. Seriously! She wants it to be in a more hitlery-friendly state which will nominate her outright.
