Ah yes, the "intellect" argument. I see it all the time and, in fact, was accused recently of not being able to have an "intellectual" discussion. I had to laugh, further inciting the liberal to increase volume and agitation. I love it when that happens.

I think the title should read "Philosophy" instead of "Psychology".

Liberalism = Boomeritis = The deadly combination of a modern, liberal, egalitarian worldview and a deep unquestioned narcissism.

Could explain why liberals tend to be ugly. Ugliness (some say a reflection of the soul) can alienate people; the ugly duckling scenario. In an attempt to gain self esteem, they take up "noble" causes on behalf of like-minded kooks, often, themselves, uglier than a box of rocks.

This self-annointment could offset feelings of inadequacy brought on by a less than attractive appearance physical.

Hey, I'm not a psychologist, I just play one on FR. Ward Churchill's not an Indian, he just plays one in Boulder.

Liberals are either stupid, ignorant or socialists. It is as simple as that.

If you talk to them, They say their Liberalism is out of care for the hourly wage-earner.

Liberalism is a selfish attempt to assuage guilt at anothers expense.

Long, but very good. They are ONLY interested in the IMMEDIATE gratification that it gives them personally. We all know that a liberal's policies look good on the surface but know that they will never work because of human nature. If you try to point out any flaws in their plan, they see it as a personal attack. Everything they do is because it makes them FEEL good and morally superior.

I have come to the conclusion it is a form of neurosis, definitely an imbalance. With some liberals, it approaches psychosis.

A little awkwardly written, but overall I think he got it. I'm not sure what he meant by "psychology", and the only thing I would question is the use of the word "liberal". The leftists use "liberal" to make themselves sound more benign and important, but obviously, just saying so dosen't make it so.

Liberalism is a Psychology

No. Liberalism is a religion.

Being a Liberal/Democrat is a perverted faith in opposition to all rational thought. It is a fantasy for spoiled children who never grew up...the "something-for-nothing, can't-we-all-just-get-along whiners". And it is the route to absolute power for those manipulators who use them.

Control freaks tend to be liberal. Throw in a little narcissism, and you have a card-carrying Rat.

Excellent - I read the entire piece.

Amazing how it ties into another article recently.

A long article on libs and how they start with this feeling of being altruistic to those that 'need' them (with our money, but the way) to then taking the 'global' world view of things, as opposed to a united American view. It makes them feel superior. Above the rest of us that have a narrow 'what's good for America' view... saying we should care about what's good in the eyes of the world.

This so confirms the article above. I think it also explains why class divisiveness is a key component for the Dems. Make a group needy and they can be the savior.

Interesting.

There is a much simpler answer, first mentioned in R. Emmet Tyrrell's, The Liberal Crackup, about twenty years ago. In essence the liberal's rai·son d'être is to annoy their neighbors.

There's the downer/negative, "can't do" psychology:

*

There's the smiling, upbeat,"can do" optimist's perspective:

*

Then there are the "no core beliefs" confused, emotional basket-cases who vacillate between the two perspectives above - depending on whether they like the "personality" of the one who gives them the answers to the questions that are important to ALL self-focused navel gazers:

How do I know forSURE if I've been good or bad?

Who can I trust for SURE?
