HONOLULU (AP) -- Michelle Rodriguez, a star on ABC's "Lost," complained after her arrest for drunken driving earlier this month that police were taking away her freedom.
Officers pulled Rodriguez over early on Dec. 1 after spotting her black Mercedes allegedly weaving down Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound lanes from Kailua.
Another "Lost" star, Cynthia Watros, was arrested 15 minutes later on the same road when police saw her car also moving erratically.
Both allegedly failed sobriety tests. Rodriguez had a blood alcohol level of 0.145, nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08, according to documents obtained by KITV-TV.
KITV quoted court and police documents that said Rodriguez was "very argumentative" and kept interrupting the officer who was explaining drunk driving sanctions to her.
"I don't (expletive) belong here! Why don't you just put a gun to my head and shoot me! You've already taken my freedom! You might as well take my life too!" she said, KITV reported Friday.
The officer who took Rodriguez in a police car to the Kailua substation quoted her as saying "Just take my car and I'll walk all the way to the North Shore but don't leave me in the back of this car poppie."
Rodriguez' lawyer declined comment.
The actress plays police officer Ana Lucia on the hit ABC drama series filmed in Hawaii.
No RUI for me either. Though I wouldn't mind it.
She's on probation for various wreckless driving incicdents in L.A. She could actually be looking at some real jail time.
Hey why should she have any less FREEDOM than the Dems and some Reps in congress wanna give murderous Terrorists.
She's got it RIGHT!!!
Between her and Lindsey Lohan, I bet they are driving car insurance rates in LA sky high.
That's better.
"She wouldn't look put of place in a remake of "The Warriors" in the Deborah Van Valkenburgh role (I think that's the girlfriend that ditches the Orphans)."
Nice reference and I agree.
HEY WARRIORS!! COME OUT AND PLAA-AAYY!
The law NEVER applies to liberals - they only have our good at heart.
Poppie is also Puerto Rican slang for Grandpa, if I remember correctly. Eh... John Leguiziamo uses it a lot! :P
Wonder if Dog the Bounty Hunter was her bondsman.
All drunk people who are being arrested say ridiculously obnoxious things in protesting their predicament. I know this :~D
#18 is a much better picture.
They'll have to re-write the 'lost' script to film her parts from a jail cell......
Yeah, that is what I think she was referring to when she said "you're taking away my freedom, why don't you just shoot me".
She wasn't referring to that particular DUI arrest, but the consequences it would have on her probation in California.

She's a known lesbian. Also she's got a habit of getting drunk and getting into fights in LA. One of her arrests was a drunken fight with one of her girlfriends, etc....
This proves what I have known since I reached my majority. Gin is one of the world's great survival tools.
While we're on this....
I watched Lost for the first season, very impressed at the pacing, character development and quirky odd goings on with the island.
I can't get with the program this season. The capsule episode was good, the Hurley episodes are good, Kate's episode, but the problem is that there are too many question marks and too many ciphers.
Anna Lucia is not only not a sympathetic character, she doesn't even make a good villain. She's a pedestrian sleepwalker. She isn't interesting. Nada, zip...
Yah! Yah! Catfight!
