WASHINGTON (AP) -- Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy says President Bush is wrong to try and silence his Iraq-war critics by calling them defeatists.
Kennedy says Americans understand that for America's security, we need to win in Iraq. However the Democratic lawmaker said Bush should acknowledge that the Iraq war has emboldened the terrorists, and increased their ranks.
Bush spoke to the nation last night about the war. The president said that despite setbacks, not only can the United States win the war in Iraq -- we are winning the war.

He's right. Bush should label 'em as traitors.

Teddy Kennedy whining again? What a surprise. The reason people call them defeatists is because they are. The reason people call them traitors is because they are. The idea that they are victims is absurd. Its never occured to them that people are calling them these things because that;s exactly what they are!

Speaking of which, I haven't heard a peep from DNC chair Howard Dean lately. Has his
foot in the mouth performances been gagged by the Democratic leadership in Congress?

Very few if any care what Mr. Kennedy has to say about anything.
Ignore it. It'll go away.

Kennedy says Bush wrong to label critics "defeatists"
So, Kennedy's answer is...
Kennedy says Americans understand that for America's security, we need to win in Iraq. However the Democratic lawmaker said Bush should acknowledge that the Iraq war has emboldened the terrorists, and increased their ranks.
Hey, Senator, are you quoting from John Kerry's Plan?
[I sure don't see Kennedy's comment adding anything to the discussion. Ok, we need to win. We know that, Senator. Terrorists are emboldened? Bin Laden said Clinton's Somalia/African Embassies/USCole fiascos enboldened him. We know the Clinton approach didn't work.]

The usual suspects, Kennedy, Senator Sorethroat, etc., dislike their new label.

Senator Moron:
Luring the islamic terrorists from all over the word to come to Iraq to fight our military and us killing and capturing them by the thousands is not emboldening them and nor increasing their ranks. It is annihilating them, pure and simple.

A few years back,I met TeddyBoy when he was being honored at the Boston hospital at which I worked at the time.I got within a couple of feet of him,but didn't speak with him. My vantage point, plus my Irish ancestry, plainly showed that he was a very, very serious alcoholic...he had all the physical characteristics.
And as an Irishman,I've seen more that a few serious alcoholics in my day!!

There's a saying from where I grew up that applies to Teddy. Roughly translated it goes like this, "If you're scratching, it's 'cause it itches."
Teddy...if brains were leather, you wouldn't have enough to saddle a bug.

He's right one can't be both liberal and defeatist; liberals are incapable of defeating anything (themselves included).
