SoldiersPrayingMom just phoned me in tears to report that Sgt. Greg Parkinson (jmpmstr4u2) had been injured in the explosion of an improvised explosive device.
The Department of Defense called Greg's wife, Tammy, to inform her of the injury just after midnight California Time. They told her that he had been evacuated to a field hospital, that he had all of his limbs, but that he has injuries in his left arm and back.
SoldiersPrayingMom requests all Freepers to pray for healing and complete recovery. Pray for his Mom and Dad, Ruth (SoldiersPrayingMom) and Jim Parkinson, Greg's wife, Tammy, and his two daughters who face uncertainties and fear for his condition. Greg and his family need all of your prayers and support.

Dude. Since we're mostly in the States, as civilians, and can NOT get him a doctor, the "only" thing we have to offer is prayer.
I see you're relatively new to this forum. You had BETTER get used to the prayer requests as they're going to come, hot and heavy, when needed.

He has doctors and is on his way to the best Doctors in the world. He isn't lying severely wounded beside a dusty road being denied medical care while we fanatical zealots pray for a miracle that astounds the medical community, as your rant implies.

Dear Merciful Healing Father,
We place before you Sgt. Greg Parkinson whom we know here at FreeRepublic as jmpmstr4u2. Father, we are grateful that this young man has been so gracious to serve our nation and the Holy Cause of Freedom. Allow us now through our prayers to return a small portion of that service. Please take and multiply our prayers and intercede in his entire situation.
First, we express gratitude that Greg was allowed to remain living in his body and retains all his limbs. Thank you for protecting him in that regard. We ask that you will intercede in those injuries on that left arm and back. Let there be a miracle of healing and comfort in Greg's body. Go down to the very cellular level and let those mechanisms which generate the proteins for cell growth be 100% efficient. Let the immune system be 100% efficient so that infectious complications to the injury may be mitigated if not completely cancelled. Let all medications, therapies, surgeries, and all interventions be 100% efficient with no detrimental side effects at all.
Overshadow the doctors, nurses, aids, lab workers, physical therapists, and all other medical professionals who have anything to do with his case. Inspire them with profound love and wisdom as they perform all their duties. Protect them from any and all energies of confusion, fear, chaos, anger, and other negativity which can so easily be generated in hospitals and crisis situations. Help them all to reside in a bubble of peace, clarity, and good will at all times as they deal with Greg and all their precious patients.
Father, we ask that you will swaddle Greg with one of our prayer blankets woven from our love, good intent, and all your good qualities which are the need of the hour. Let him receive that comfort and healing in a very tangible way. Let him know of a certitude that you are with him, and that we are united in our hearts in your Name and in the Name of the One Sent to support him in this hour of need. Send to him a legion of angels to minister to his every need, physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
We ask that you will surround his Mom and Dad, Ruth (SoldiersPrayingMom) and Jim Parkinson, Greg's wife, Tammy, and his two daughters at this time. Let them also be provided with garments woven from our prayers and your infinite celestial love. Let them also be able to tangibly sense the rustle of your garment as you send to them angels and your precious Hand extended. Place a balm of perfect love and peace on each of their hearts so that fear, anxiety, and all those accompanying dark emotions cannot reach them. Let this family come through this ordeal with their faith not only intact, but strengthened. Let them also know that we, their FreeRepublic friends are united with them and hold them in our hearts, prayers, and good thoughts.
We are grateful for your ever-present listening ear and your faithful response to all the prayers of our hearts, especially the ones which are intercessory and selfless in nature. We are grateful that you have constructed the Law so that it is no respector of person. Because of this, we know that our prayers shall indeed cause only your divine Will to take place, for that is what we request in this hour. Let not anything interfere with your divine Plan for Greg. We accept your miraculous answer with loving, believing, expectant hearts.
This which we have called forth for our Sgt Greg, we call forth for all who are in a similar situation of need. Multiply our prayers in accordance to thy own Will and for whom there is necessity. Maximize them for the sake of and with the blessings of the Christ Child whose appearance we celebrate in this day and Season.
