The attention this pathetic punk is receiving is just going to encourage him to do something even more outrageous. It feeds his ego and will encourage him or copycats to do even worse to hurt innocents.

As to the escalation I was referring to, I had something a little more self destructive in mind. Like a tub filled with hot water and a razor blade. Take away the lime light and he might just take his antics far enough to end them for good.

If you think turning a spotlight on him is the right thing, by all means go ahead. While it does show him and the rest of his ilk to be the scum they are, it also assures them their message is being heard. Not to mention giving him a stage to prance around on and soak up all the attention he's getting for being a petulant child.

I searched for the article you posted and it still appears in the papers archives. You would have to pay to view it, but the article exists under his name and that title. He was not doing this anti military stuff in 1999 at the time he wrote the, " I Would be proud to serve– if the Army would let me" piece. His claim to never having been in the military is almost certainly a lie as was his death hoax.

He must be extremely bitter about being discharged from the Army. Really, it is not his fault that he is congenitally defective and could not qualify or that a more merciful manifestation of divine providence did not see fit to remove him from the gene pool and end his misery.

I missed that H&C episode, but listened to it in post #17. And according to his site, he's said many of the same things that ex-FReeps JohnGalt and Burkeman1 said.

The origional story is from Malkin. It's about at the bottom of the page where the soldier received the hateful card wishing him death.

A couple of points in response:

It isn't a certainty of course, but we are probably witnessing the disappearance of a political party. Like lemmings, liberals are going over the cliffs, the first ones are already over and headed for the rocks below. Nothing will save them anymore, and this guy is almost certainly one of the 'lucky' early crashers. I wrote my tag line in celebration of them.

It is unfair (to put it mildly) to allow this scum to attack our soldiers. However, those are some of the unpleasant things an open society must tolerate. Code Pink at Walter Read is another disgusting example.

I don't have the power to give this guy any attention, but I'm much in favor of his appearances on TV. Will it encourage others to make that final plunge off the cliff? That’s OK if it does, we might as well encourage our enemies to come out in the open as quickly as possible.

I have great faith in the American voters to do the right thing when the truth smacks them in the face.

This guy helps to do that.
