Its time Israel be direct in confronting the roadblocks to peace in the Middle East. This means cutting Gaza into sectors and extermination of extrimists block by block, both underground and above. A show of determination there would have the net effect of allowing Israel a one front war in dealing with the West Bank should it come to that.

Iran (and France making Iran/the French diplomatic/Foreign Trade being centered on the Arab) holds the real key to stopping the Islamic violence. Iran has to have regime change. The House of Saud would come into line dealing with their rouge elements once these two events are dealt with appropriately.

Glick is a conservative - a rare in a country abounding in Leftists. She's helped make the country only English language newspaper more the simply a Labor Party mouthpiece at it was in the 80s when it was owned by the Histadrut. Today Israel is endangered because its leaders believe all the country needs to do to escape its troubles is to hide it head in the sand. That if Israel does not have contact with a single Arab, it can avoid the hostility and hate in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the disengagement premise is a fantasy because the Iranians and the Arabs are not prepared to accept even a shrunken Jewish State in their midst that seeks to stay out of regional conflict. The problem is trouble will still seek out Israel rather that receding from the country. There is the threat of Al Qaeda and Iran. What Israel is now facing is the lull before the storm. At this time what is needed is not a denial of the obvious, that Israel in living in dangerous neighborhood, but rather a recognition the threats facing Israel are real and to develop strategies to deal with them. God will never allow the Jewish people to be destroyed but they have to also do their part to secure their future in the Land he promised to Abraham and his descendants as their eternal possession. These days, evil swirls around the House Of Israel and the Jewish people have to ask themselves how they intend to overcome it. To my mind, and I'm sure Caroline would agree with me here, that is the crux of the situation facing Israel today.

It's a mystery to me how even the most left-wing Jews in Israel can be so blind to the truth. The Palestinians don't even pretend to be decent or truthful or interested in doing their share, and that doesn't seem to register.
