Agree 100%. The politics are now truly hardball. Go public with the successes that have occurred that have been classified. Tell the American people that the means of accomplishing such successes in the future have been compromised in the interest of partisan politics. Tell the American people that they are now in greater danger than they have been since the months following 9/11. Tell them that the Senate has exerted authority and if anything happens now they should be held responsible. Fighting terrorist is not a spectator sport like politics is for the democrats.

Well I know I'll get flamed for this but I'm going to say it anyway.
Until our Government shows REAL concern for the security of our country and shuts down our borders north AND south, all of this BS in the Patriot Act are nothing more than restrictions and invasions on our rights to privacy in this country.
No I don't agree with most people who post on this. The only way I would agree with ANY of the provisions in this so called Patriot act is if the entire act had a sunset clause that forced the politicians to revisit it once a year.
Making it permanent is ridiculous and foolhardy.
but then Americans never did learn from history.

I am looking for the same list...has it been posted?
Guess I can go look at .gov site

They're literally begging for another 9/11. No, The American voting public as a whole are begging for it by electing these spineless democrats and their castrated RINO compatriots to protect our nation.

My husband just said that he thinks it went down because they will write a NEW Patriot type bill and it will be nothing but PORK!!
These liberals are just plain devil-awful.

We need to repeal the ammendment to the Constitution that set up the Senate as a popular elected body. That ought to scare the bejeepers out of them!Go back to them being elected by the states legislators the way it was envisioned by the founding fathers.

What do you mean recent events suggest that the GOP is working on the agenda of a New World Order?

Sunnunu (Rhode Island) interviewed with Hannity/Colmes. . .trying to look good for his decision - asks. . .'can't we all just act like adults'? What a bad joke. . .Alan of course, thought he did look great. . .
Heard Rush today. . .and his promise. . .which is ours as well.

["Between this and the McCain terrorists bill of rights, we're watching a unilateral disarmament of the United States in the WOT. This is making me sick. (blue runnin dog)
. . .If they're going to vote and act like Democraps, then what reason is there to worry about which candidate wins. I simply cannot put my hatred for McLame in words. He is despicable.(Cautor)]
Totally share the conclusions here. . .
. . .but I cannot believe this Administration, unfortunately. . .either. They GAVE the power-insatiable, McCain a win yesterday. . .and they surely they knew that McCain's 'loyalty' is only a veneer and that this man serves ONLY himself. . .
. . .and like Kennedy and the hosts of other Librats that McCain calls friends. . .that it would take only the next available opportunity for McCain to take advantage. . .
That said. . .my hatred for the total, abject weakness that breeds Liberalism, is feeling no bounds. . .

I admit that my relationship with Bush and his administration is one of love and hate. There is much I admire about Dubya, but why he caves in to crass politicians and bullies like McLame is way beyond me. Why not use the bully pulpit on the RINOs as well. I'm afraid this go-along-get-along is deep-seated in the Bush family as witnessed by his dad's naivete in political matters as well.

Don't you love how these Senate gasbags like McCain work the system? They have no problem trampling on the constitution when it suits their purposes, like they did with CFR. Yet they bend over backwards to protect terrorists' rights, while at the same time putting Americans in danger of more terrorist attacks. A more conspiratorial (or cynical, perhaps) mind would conclude that our U.S. sinators have little regard for the American people.
