Here is a Mikulski factoid.

She pulled strings in 88-89 to get my ship sent to Bethlehem stel shipyards in Sparrow's point Maryland, keeping us from going to the yards near our homeport of Norfolk. This caused about a dozen marriages to break up due to the fact that the husbands were telling their families, "just hang on for xx more months, we'll be in the yards and I'll be around almost every day."

You could hear the family ties cracking all the way up the river as we went North.

But it kept the yard in business for two more years.

Actually WBAL Radio has a very conservative talk show format and hosts. Their news is surprisingly fair and balanced. WBAL TV and Radio, much to their credit, has been all over this story and has been fair and accurate in their reporting, well except for the gender confusion with Kristinn.

I don’t watch other local TV news station except WBAL TV in the AM but I get most of my news from Free Republic and WBAL Radio and Fox News but most Brent Hume because everyone else is obsessed with Natalie Holloway and freeway police chases.

My bad. Guess I've let myself be overly revolted by the Baltimore Sun -- whew! What a stinking rag. Thanks for the correction -- I should give WBAL a try.

DON'T Send Lawyer, Guns and Money....

He's on his way over to kick my ass right now. Pray for me.

Uh, OK, Jim but just in case, I'm drop-shipping a pallet of extra beeber batteries, via Viking Kitty Air Freight.

You are absolutely right about the Sun. The only thing it’s good for is lining the bottom of birdcages or covering the table when eating steamed crabs – although brown paper is better – no chance of ink poising.

You may be interested to know that the Sun’s lone conservative columnist, Gregory Kane – an African American Conservative to boot - was recently barred by the “Scum” from being a guest on WBAL Radio’s Ron Smith show.

Through all of this, I still haven't found out how MD4BUSH KNEW that he was talking to a Republican operative or that it was even Joe Steffen. Is this link still missing?

There may be a hell of a lot more information behind the crack we've found and are now peering through.

I don't think even NCPAC knew, as of his last post on the subject in February. There have been two main theories:

1) NCPAC posted enough personal information about himself on Free Republic that someone with knowledge of MD politics could have read through his posts and figured out who he was.

2) A mole in the Ehrlich administration may have ratted him out to the MD Dems. A fired Ehrlich administration employee, Michelle Lane, met with the Baltimore City Democrat political establishment in July 2004. MD4Bush started posting here in October 2004. There were some media reports that NCPAC may have had a relationship with Ms. Lane gone sour.

Maybe MD4Bush would care to enlighten us if he's still lurking here.

From his screen name, NCPAC, and the hints NCPAC dropped here and there on his posts.

Actually, that has occurred to me as well. Why do we know who NCPAC is?

OMG........I still lived in Delaware at that time and remember the stories about that.

Heck we knew the O'Malley affair stories in the State House in Delaware long before this erupted.

Lots of Richmond and/or Annapolis based lobbyists also work in Dover....talk about people who know stuff that like to talk (wink, wink)

Why do we know who NCPAC is?

Because Matthew Mosk from the Washington Post confronted Joe Steffen, who confirmed he was NCPAC. And NCPAC admitted it on Free Republic the day the story first broke.

We know who NCPAC is because MD4BUSH and the Washington Post outed him in several lying articles in that propaganda tabloid.

Funny thing about this place. The answer to your question seems to come in while you are trying to format your post.

Predictably, the Baltimore Sun and Washington Post and all the other major media are just burying this story. They won't give it much play at all. They love O'Malley and hate Ehrlich. Without a smoking gun, this story won't get any legs at all.
